I've noticed in the last couple years that a lot of big gaming sites have cut a lot of their PC gaming coverage. Many of them will only cover the biggest releases, especially if they're multiplatform already. I am hungry to read more PC gaming news, but I've only found one good site so far (Rock Paper Shotgun). Anyone got any good suggestions?
Here are some suggestions.
Disclaimer: I write the stuff, but I recommend Neoseeker, not to whore myself out, but because I write what I'd want to read if I was in your position. I cover PC gaming quite extensively and stand behind the content. Second disclaimer: site design is very shitty in parts (especially the homepage) -- we're working on that.
I check Kotaku and Blue's News for news and Rock, Paper, Shotgun for opinion.
For reviews it's kind of a mixed bag, I stick to user reviews usually. Giant Bomb is good for quicklooks of games and do cover PC versions and exclusives, but their opinions aren't really what I would call well thought out, they tend to be "DUDEZ THE HALOZ" and such.
I read Game Journos are Incompetent Fuckwits for news.
Mostly, just Shacknews because their site blows anything else out of the water. At least the community there isn't just degenerates with a keyboard.
I'd link to my own, but it's dead now. Hoping I start/work for a good PC gaming site.

We're moving on.
I mostly use either gamerankings.com or metacritic.com.
Metacritic looks a bit strange on the main page but it's a great place to see a rounded grade of popular reviews and more importantly, a rounded grade and a lot of reviews by users as well.
Gamerankings is only game focused and has some rankings list but also a nice rounded grade average of the online internet reviews with most of them in there and links to them.
Edit: Oops, shouldn't have woken up at 4am, lol. Thought you meant reviews but you want news, sorry ^^

That's a joke, right? You give a site that takes reviews of games and gives you an average score that may or may not be completely accurate? And the reviews by users... Christ that is a hellhole of fanboyism.
I'm not (really) saying your choices for gaming related sites are crap but you can do better.

Um, a joke? No, I can use my own common sense to filter through the stuff I can't use, and rather than see 1 person's subjective opinion, i can see those of many people (reviewers and users alike) and draw my own conclusions based on that.
I agree it's useless if the only thing you do is look at the grade but then going to any site is pointless since every 'review' is subjective and could just as well be the complete reverse for you in opinion on a game.
For people who use common sense however those sites are a good resource, either to get a good overall opinion, or more indepth opinions through the linked reviews.
Metacritic is indeed a useful site even for people like me that hate review scores. It makes it easy to find reviews quickly, and the quotes give you an idea of the tone of the review so you can pick bad and good ones to see what people complained about or praised.
Big Download is very good. Possibly the best PC-site around for news, they've also got some nice retro articles and stuff. Not a lot of reviews, but well worth bookmarking.
http://news.bigdownload.com/
(this is their main site: http://www.bigdownload.com/ - i prefer the news.-version, though)
Voodoo Extreme is a decent site for news, screenshots and stuff: http://ve3d.ign.com/
rockpapershotgun
they don't like women there
oh. for reviews i use you guys and various comments around the web. Normal reviews are useless these days.
