Doubtful. GameTap is little more than flashy DRM, its no wonder MSGS would go there for distributing old games.

GameTap is offering temporary, DRM-laden access to these games as part of a subscription; they are not being sold (the GameTap store has a separate catalogue). While Microsoft is sure to introduce their own online store at some point in time, it is very unlikely that they will be offering any of their titles without DRM.

Cautiously optimistic, as the lying politicians often say.

If I was able to get Fable for less than the $20 that I see it everywhere, I'd buy it in a second.

Remember, GameTap is a rental service - you actually do not buy any of their titles, only the right to use them until your subscription runs out.

Microsoft games? Not so much old as they should be.... Well,Flight Simulator apart.....

I might be on shrooms here, but I'm pretty sure MechWarrior 4 is 9 years old. And I wouldn't mind having Midtown Madness on GOG either.

Yeah, totally. MechWarrior 4 sucks, it got a 100 in GamePro and 88 in PC Gamer, and Midtown Madness 2 was so bad it got a 9 in Eurogamer, right?

Oh it would be ace to see old Microsoft games on here! The Age Series on GoG... I'm dreaming. Though I still own the original CDs and three other copies I purchased over the years :P I would totally get it again from GOG.
The MW4 demo alone kept me hooked for months :D, it obviously sucked.

I'd love Rise of Nations on GOG just so I don't have to dig for the discs... never really tried any of the Age games though.
