Sitting presently on the Wishlist at 18,368 votes, Homeworld is one of the most requested games on the GOG wishlist. So just for fun, I have a sealed physical copy that I want to give away.

This is the Korean release of the GOTY edition of Homeworld. Despite the fact that the box materials are in English/Hangeul, the full game and installer are in English only. The game isn't prepatched to 1.05. The game also works very well in WINE and CrossOver on OS X, with a few registry tweaks to enable widescreen resolutions.

The winner of the giveaway will get the sealed physical copy of the Homeworld GOTY Edition, in addition to a compilation CD**** with the 1.05 patch and 1.05 no-CD patch, and the Raider Retreat add-on missions (which are already available as a legally free stand-alone download).

To enter, post a humorous and creative answer to the question: "What would you do if you were trapped in a walking simulator?"

Edit 3: For clarification, this is the "Best Seller Series" re-release of the GOTY Edition for Homeworld; so sadly, it doesn't include a separate CD for the soundtrack.

Edit 4: Other extras I'm going to include are app icons, desktops, and the Relic Community Homeworld Soundtrack 2.0 release.

If I was stuck in a walking simulator I would explore as much as possible until I realized I was stuck in a walking simulator. At this point I would pull my pocket knife out and start digging my way the hell out of the nightmare. If there was no digging or interaction of any sort out I would find the highest point I could and prepare to jump off it as I sure would not want to die of thirst or starvation first.

If I were trapped in a walking simulator... I'd try to break it by running into anything and everything in the world from every which angle possible looking for the one thing that will cause the game to crash... because there's always *something* (this is if there's no possible way to interact with anything)

People are lazy -- anything that goes beyond shouting "I'm in" as a requirement to participate is considered too much effort, even if there's a chance to win free stuff. :P

Not in, but I have to say that Homeworld is a great series! It's still one of my favorite games of all time! I hope that GOG can get this game in the future. Please vote for it!

It is a little surprising, since I got a lot of really funny and hilarious entries for my Shadow Warrior CD giveaway that I did two years or so ago. And isn't Homeworld a game that many here want really, really badly?

And really, entries don't need to be funny, or even smart. I just want to stage giveaways that are a little different from the rest, and give people to exercise their creative juices. :)
