Short game (that's. Highly recommended by the OP despite bad reviews. Distinct lack of entries. This game needs more love, I'll honor it by entry.

I remember being very young, my family always had cats. My parents let them be outside cats, so every so often we'd lose one but a lost one would get replaced eventually but not without some heartache. At one point when bringing a cat to the vet over 1 mile away from where we lived, in the transfer, the cat escaped. My parents searched for a couple days before giving up. This cat was always very afraid of cars, if a car would go by it would run and hide, my father had found it in an auto plant parking lot. This cat was lost across a very busy street, so there was no chance in our minds that it could even possibly come back even if it somehow knew how to get back from unfamiliar territory. But after giving up hope, the cat somehow made its way back on the 4th day. From that day forward, it was always my favorite pet. I would name it to honor it, but you know, all that internet security question stuff....
On a different note - I've highly amused myself just now by yelling out the window (at some young chav who decided my front gate was a bench upon which they could sit and have the loudest possible conversation about "fingering"): "OI SACKFACE! GOMO!" - he ran up the street like a crab running from the tide.
+1 and thank you for the giveaway!

I'm in

We did have a cat that was abducted by a neighbor. The irony was that she had gone crazy. We wanted to care for her but she wasn't safe to have in the house at the time. We were afraid she'd be put down in the shelter, though we knew that cats sometimes 'reset' when put in a new home, so instead we were asking around when someone did us the favor or relocating her for us. We know they weren't intending to be nice, but it worked out that way.

We had a dog abducted too, but that was actually a weird case. "Max" the chow hound had been shifted from person to person's home by a friend who was going through a rough patch - and who kept moving the dog since he couldn't keep him at his own place(s). It was actually our third time with Max when we lost him. The second time we had noticed that Max wasn't attaching to people like he used to do, and was now slow to obey anyone (including the original owner.) So when we accepted him for the last time, we explained to the original owner that "Max" wouldn't be anyone's pet if he kept moving him around like that. He agreed that if we took "Max" in again, we weren't giving him up anymore. [We knew it would take a lot of time and effort to get "Max" to believe he finally had a forever home.]

Well, our friend claimed to understand, but after awhile wanted to move him on again to another relative (or friend) and we reminded of his promise and said "no". By this time we had to treat "Max" for arthritis and some other health problems. We were pretty sure the other 'foster' families this guy used weren't going to do that for a dog, especially knowing it wouldn't stay theirs. Not that they were happy with this carousel routine either, but since the first owner was closer kin to them, or in closer social circles, they found it harder to stand up to him when Cousin cried the blues to everyone in earshot about how much he loved Ole "Max" and how it was breaking his heart not to have his dog closer, or better fed, or in a better yard, or with more kids to play with (or whatever the excuse du jour was for moving "Max" elsewhere this time.).

We weren't entirely shocked when the dog was stolen from our backyard, nor by news that "Max" had escaped from the last place he'd been put and run into traffic. :( We heard rumors he'd been taken either by one of the previous caretakers or that same guy. We don't know this for sure but were told that Max had been hidden out at a cousin's vacation home when no one was there, where whoever-it-was just left food for "Max" when they could. Why would "Max" stay there with no one to love on him? Such a doofus thing to do. Sadly, I am pretty sure everyone involved believed they loved the dog and were doing the best they could for him. He was a great dog, really. He was kind to kids, cats, guinea pigs. and other dogs - as long as they weren't threatening someone's kids, cats, or guinea pigs. RIP "Max"

Congrats Justonoldgamer, Sachys, RWarehall and SalarShushan, you just won codes for GOMO! I decided to hand out the codes one day earlier than planned, that way you can already play this little game on Sunday :)
I wish I had bought more codes, it's so frustrating when you can't gift everyone! Since I only had 3 codes, I decided to buy a 4th gift copy. Wish I could buy even more but now that the game isn't on sale anymore, my hands are bound, therefor only one extra copy.

Thank you everybody for sharing your pet stories, even if some of them are sad.
R.I.P. all you lost pets out there, and long live the rest!

To the 4 lucky winners, don't let GOMO hang: Remember that he too misses his pet so please help him get it back, don't let GOMO be sad ok? Good luck!
cheers awalterj!
definately a perfect fit for a sunday afternoon! :)
Thank you and +1 to awalterj for a nice giveaway and congratulations to Sachys, SalarShushan and RWarehall.
Congrats to the winners ! The 4th GOMO copy is scheduled for a new giveaway ?

The 4th code has already been handed out, wish I could get even more but as I mentioned the game is no longer on sale so sadly I could only get one more code than planned.
If I was rich, I could just buy codes for every single entry but if I was rich I'd probably be selfishly chilling on private yacht somewhere in the Caribbean, googling tax evasion tips rather than buying games online!

I started playing it. Now I wish I had a kids to play it with, and a dog, and that I was President of Earth but that's getting off topic.

Well thanks a bunch, the idea of having a personal bodyguard poobird sounds very tempting though it could be a liability because I currently only have 1 occasional enemy and that's me, so I'd get all the poo on my own head!

I hope all your wishes come true, except for the President of the Earth thing because I want that, too (I have some whack ideas about how one could run this place but less whack than the way things are run presently so no worries)
Thank you so much. I have a bad habit of dropping point and clicks early because I get stuck or overloaded with too many options. So far, Gomo seems about my speed. Downloaded it during Real vs. Atletico and been playing it since that ended. Cute little game. Taking a short break, seeing how far I can get through it tonight.
That is NOT what I think of when I hear or read the phrase 'sackface' Anyway gratz to the winners and thanx to the gifter.
