Aliasalpha: I have an odd premonition its ubisoft...

Postmonition would be more accurate :P
Ubisoft! Absolutely did not see that one coming. Too bad I already have BG&E and don't want any of the other currently offered titles.

Aliasalpha: Massive Entertainment maybe? They did Ground Control 1 & 2
avatar
Zeewolf: They're owned by Ubisoft now, though ActiBlizz probably have the Ground Control-rights still. :-)

I think that's as close as we got to guessing right. Glad its Ubisoft though, because that means we could also end up with all the Myst games too.
Aww, I wish it had been ATARI for some RPG goodness :( (BG1&2, IWD1&2, PS:T, ToEE etc.)

Hi number 3 and 5, tell number 4 I'm still not speaking to him until he apologises. Also, I want RPGs as well

You should really try PoP: Sands of Time. Best-F*cking-Game in series.

number 4 cannot hear you as he is currently in a Judas Priest induced trance .....number 3 and 5 will try to pass on the message via semaphore...

Tried it. Hated it.
But... that could have been because the keyboard/mouse controls suck and the game wouldn't detect my gamepad (Logitech Dual Action), so I had to use a third party controller mapper, which made the controls work, but not very well at all. After a handful of failed jumping puzzles, the whole thing became ridiculously frustrating, so I got rid of it. If the game is able to detect and use my current gamepad (Saitek P990), then I might consider giving it another shot.

I played it with my logitech dual action and it worked perfectly.
That's great for you, but it didn't work at all for me. It was an older LDA pad and in my research for a replacement (after my dog chewed it up), I came across multiple instances of stories of the pad not aging well, such as it randomly losing calibration mid-game, not being detected by the OS or application, disconnecting itself while still being plugged in, etc. Its entirely possible that was why PoP didn't like the pad, but I also had no problems using it with any other game at the time, so I don't know. Either way, that experience put a really bad PoP taste in my mouth, so I am very hesitant to try it again. If there is a demo, I might give that a shot, if only to see if my new gamepad will work with it.
Never saw Ubisoft coming.
