Hello all!
My first ever post I think, even though I have been a happy member of GoG for quite a long time. My question relates to modding and rereleasing the extra content from GoG games (like maps, pics etc) to the GoG community.

In my case I bought Baldurs Gate One a while ago and wanted to use the map that came with it as nice wallpaper (for motivation you know), but sadly it was really ugly… So I thought why not redo it a bit! And was rather happy with the new result of an old looking map, and would love to share it with anyone who is interested. I don’t know however if that is allowed, as the extra content comes exclusively when you buy the game. Tried to find some info on this but could not really find any info about it in the ToS or a topic that directly related to my question about editing and sharing extra content. What iss GoGs stand on this?

Did send a topic about this to towards GoG Support, but got a bit inpatient for a reply and thought I try my luck here too ;)

Hope there is not already a topic answering this already that I missed :/

Hello,

If it will be published with terms of "fair use" (you will not take any payment for it, or consider yourself as an author) feel free to post it.

I should really learn to be less inpatient. Thanks GoG.
Glad you got your answer. I'd love to see the map when you get around to posting it. Thanks. :)
GOG, not GoG. :]
I plan to release an "additional extra content" package for Crusader: No Remorse / No Regret extras if GOG doesn't put out all the other stuff I sent 'em. There'll be a long grace period, but there's some stuff that should be included.
i havent seen your version of the map but i rather have the original stuff then self made stuff but i think it should be open to anyone to upload and download stuff. but along with the original i would also like the extra stuff.

i dont think opening up an ftp or a extra site link for stuff like that would be that bad.

And if you can find some place to store it online I guess we could add links on the wiki. It was never discussed before but it shouldn't hurt (for good content)

Lexor: GOG, not GoG. :]
My browser says it's clearly gog. Now G0G, that's ok too.

Where? If you are looking at GOG's logotype or website address (and talking about service's name) you should know that these kinds of typing have each own rules and sometimes do not follow official name of service which, in short, is GOG.

Yep.
And its up! was rather easy in the end :)

Did post this thread as a question thou... but I kind of answered it myself in the end :/ and cant really select my self (rather obvious why you cant) so I guess l will just leave it as it is?
Here's a link to that other thread with the map

so if anyone stumbles here after a thousand years, they can still find it easily.
