Not Lucasarts, Eidos, Atari, THQ or Take Two? Anyone of those could generate some serious traffic for GOG. Plus, EA hasn't exactly demonstrated much respect for it's older IP recently, if you see what I'm saying.

They are already on Steam, they should be on GOG with all their classic adventures.

That's what we've been saying all along. Lucasarts and GOG are meant to be.

There's certainly a logical basis for that. But I bet most people before the Troika clue definitely didn't think Activision were coming here. So it might once more not be the most obvious candidate.

They are meant to be, yes. But lucasarts isn't all that of a enterprising company, they wasted years milking star wars games and waited years to start re-selling their games.
Being EA or Take-Two the next step, it would be perfect... all the classics, plus titles from 2k Games (civilization series and etc.).

True. And the fact that they went with Steam would suggest they're oblivious to just how pirated their old classics have been. It's like fitting a new alarm to your burnt out joyridden wreck of a car.
EA is the one we're all hoping for I'm sure. Not completely impossible now that we have Activision. EA still has some money troubles too. Surely making money off their old games with little or no effort is exactly what they're looking for right now?

At least that polish interview also implies that Atari and D&D games are still unlikely to join GOG in near future... :(
Btw, is there any good old Atari games that's not D&D-based?

Yeah, that's the reason that I think lucasarts won't come so soon to the DRM-free world on GOG. They had years to release it, and it was on a drm client like steam, or a regionally restricted site like D2D. It is possible, but I don't believe it will be soon here.

That was my thinking, with a giant step like EA or take-two, one brings the another giant here. And then all the constellation of publishers comes right after them.

Aside from the reeeeaaally old classics, to which they have the rights, there's Act of War, Dark Earth (which I'd LOVE to see here), Test Drive series, ARMA, Fahrenheit, RollerCoaster Tycoon and of course, The Witcher.
