Does anyone else find it disconcerting that such a laisse faire company, one normally giving carte blanche to forum discussion about just about any topic is so active in mass removals of what is often polite, intelligent debate over CDP's anti-piracy methods?

Their defense, that GOG and CDP are two totally diferent companies is hollow in my opinion, and shows an attempt to have it both ways. When they are selling the Witcher and it's sequel on here, it's one big happy family, and you should support CDP/GOG as one entity. BUT, when one branch has negative press, well then both of them are completely separate, compartmentalized entitles. That comes off as petty and rude in my opinion.
You mean they have been deleting the threads about this here? I didn't know that. How, interesting.

I didn't know either. I haven't really been reading any of the TW2 threads.
They've been mass deleting the comments, and replacing them with a big blue PC wall.
The main thread about the issue is still alive. No one's posted in it in four days though.

Maybe they were just making an effort to curb redundancy of topics?
There are at *least* three threads about the CDP action, and they are still accessible - even the original abusive and malicious post that started one of those threads (from He Who Shall Not Be Named) is still there, low rated.

So just where is this 'mass removal' you're talking about ?

Or aren't three threads enough to contain your moral outrage ?

I am not morally outraged at all. My only issue is the disparity between CDP's and the accused abilities to disclose information regarding this action.
Here are the posts (that I know of) regarding the subject:

http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/gog_you_two_faced_liars

http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/cd_projekt_red_goes_after_file_sharers_riaa_mpaa_style

http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/cd_projekt_extorting_suspected_file_sharers_say_this_isnt_true

In a first glance nothing seems to have been removed. Apparently people don't find them interesting anymore, or maybe there is nothing new to add. Perhaps you could ask GOG to put stickies on them, so they never fade into oblivion.
Who cares?

That sucks. But what discussions related to this have they been (mass) removing, since, as others pointed out, the threads still seem to exist?

The only time so far I've seen GOG locking a discussion was the discussion for game cracks, and removing the links to game crack sites from the messages (not whole messages). I can certainly understand why they did it, pressure from their publishers.
so gog deletes threads that are repetitive, which were discussed a lot and you call it censoring:?

grow up kid and research before saying stupid things.
So what exactly has been removed? I can't tell if anything from the three threads linked above went missing. If they did this, it would suck (at least without any explanation), but there is just one unverified claim so far...

Yeah, I'm thinking if it was true anjohl should have supplied us with more specifics. Seems to me, this may be just an attempt to keep this whole issue going on. I hope that is not the case, but, if it is, they could have just posted more ideas in those other threads. I really don't like being lied to, by any one, and I hope that anjohl isn't lying to us, at the same time, it would stink if they were telling the truth...However, maybe GOG just deleted post about Pirate sites or some such...Until anjohl or someone else tells us some specifics about the supposed censoring, I'm not going to be adding anything more to this discussion, and I suggest no one else does either...Of course if they have something pertinent to add about censoring here, then by all means do so. Otherwise, I for one, am not playing.
OP, you'll need to be more specific, all the stuff I knew about (the three main threads) are there and intact.

So what was deleted? Please show us with Google cache or something else (if there is a cache of the original info).

I'm pretty much on the forefront of the whole piracy letter debate, and I haven't noticed anything shady on GOGs part.

Up until now, GOG itself hasn't done anything wrong (apart from bullshiting to us about their coporate structure) CDP published games are on my blacklist for now. I'm still on the fence about GOG. It remains to be seen how they handle things, once they release new games.
