I haven't bought a GoG game in AAAAAAGES, there is nothing interesting being 'released'.

I'm definitely not interested in new indie releases, or games I can get cheaper elsewhere.

What gives? Do you agree that GoG's catalogue has grown stale, once you take away the must-buys?

I won't get mad. It's your own loss to can't find 1 game in 753. Spend your money on some glasses, perhaps..?

To a point I must agree. None of the games released recently has me interested at all.

Well, it all depends on your personal tastes. For example: most CRPGs, which you consider "true must-buys", don't interest me.

I am sure that for every game on GOG there is someone out there who is interested - unfortunately though (or fortunately), not everyone will be interested in every game.

I've had pretty much every game in the catalog that I'm interested in on my shelf for well over a year, maybe 2 years, with a few exceptions. Most of my other purchases in that time were made because they were discounted so cheap, but I've found that I'm not that interested in playing them.

My opinion is that GOG don't expand their catalog fast enough. They add usually ~ 2-5 games a week. I think it should be at least twice that. I like GOG's business model and their DRM-free philosophy, and I would like see them really taking off and expanding more rapidly.

I disagree. I already have more games than I can possibly play, but I know that any game GOG adds is a game worth checking out. If they start adding more games, it means that they will be adding lesser games to the service, and the good ones will be lost in the crowd.

Unless you imply that there will be many more games worth adding to GOG, so the only problem will be separating the wheat from the chaff.

I'm not talking about just indies, kickstarter, or greenlight type games from small studios. There's a lot of games developed and released over the last 10 years, for example, that have not made their way here, including AAA games from big studios.
Again, there are a lot of high quality games out there that aren't in GOG's catalog, games that are highly regarded.

Well, ive got few hundred quality games in backlog + replays of old the really good ones. so personally i am not really in such hurry for the new releases.

Missing oldies will come eventually. Fingers crossed.

Anyways i am trying move myself from "collecting" to actually playing. Couple decades ago i just had abit more free time at my hands... You mean COD and GTA right?

For the last 18 months or so, GOG has released in average 1 game every 2 days. Ignoring half of those due to "No Interest" still leaves GOG with one release per 4 days (on average). Doubling the number of releases will get it to 1 game every day, or 1 game every 2 days if you ignore half of those.
So again, the number of releases is about right, and even though they could be more, doubling them would be overkill. Sure, they may not release games we want all the time, and I'd love to see newer AAA games here, but I won't complain that the number of releases is too low. The number of "X" releases may be too low, where X for me is AAA games, but the total number of releases is fine for me.
