Deus Ex, maybe? I'd far rather have that than System Shock 2.
Well, actually, both would be nice.

bpops: Perhaps some more freeware games packed and tested by GOG? That would be nice too ;)
But my guess would be on just making the 100th game free for all current GOG subscribers or something to that effect.

Petrell: I rather have GOG announce partnership with ATARI and announced games be BG1&2 and PS:T than a free game of my choosing.

True enough, I'd gladly take BG1 & 2 over a free game.
A lot of dreaming here.
Not to crush it too harshly, but remember that it will take about a month before they disclose the next Big publisher (according to one of the interviews). So if the surprise is a new game, it is likely from a new smaller publisher, or from one of the current ones.
Unless they lied of course (that would be a nice lie though, for once).

Ooh, oooh, oh, I know what it'll be. It's going to be.....
erm....
nope...it's gone.
Remember they said "everybody" is going to be happy. I don't think any one new release would do that (no matter how popular it is). I think it's probably some fancy new functionality instead, or a free game or two.
(though I do think we can expect game number 100 to be a real classic, I just don't think it's the big surprise)

If everybody is going to be happy, I doubt it's an addition to the catalog that's going to be the big surprise.
I think it's either a free game, or a discount on all games in the catalog or a free game. Perhaps gog.com goes out of beta.

Well it could be King of Dragon Pass as it's developed and self published by A Sharp, LLC :P But being only a cult classic and only selling well here in Finland as far as I know, it would definately not satisfy everyone here. I really can't think of any one (or even two) games that would satisfy most of the people but we'll have to wait and see.
personaly i hope for some improvement of GOG website :) like another major update
If it's a free game, I'm blowing it on TOCA. Naw, Far Cry. Naw, Fallout 2.
now why would they want to get rid of the rep for their most dedicated and helpful member?
But GOG staffers don't have rep =P
Adn I expect the suprise is most certainly the specific game they have lined up for #100. Giving free games to every subscriber wouldn't be the best of moves, financially, although offering up a code which gives you 50% off your next purchase would be nice...

Weclock: It'll probably be a removal of rep. HAHAHA
avatar
Romulus: Maybe two things will coincide with each other, a prize for the person with most rep and a free game for all of us.. or a game from the top ten on the wish list.
Horror of all horrors, they reset the rep system after they finish the Beta because that's the big surprise, they're coming out of Beta early and they have it in for you Weclock.

Or they ban Weclock after that!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >.<
I bet it will be either a huge update of the website or a free game maybe both cant wait to find out though :)
They managed to snag Origin, Eidos, and LucasArts and they have been holding them back until they got more servers to handle the amount of downloads that will be happening. Please, let this be the BIG SURPRISE!!!!

Wait... if they're going to give us Torment, then that's the best surprise ever!
