The big day is approaching and everyone is counting hours, minutes and seconds when the GOG staff members will appear in the spotlight! Believe us, we're all excited about this as well, but first things first. Let us give you some details, so everyone knows who, what, where and when.

Who? All of you, our dear users, are invited to watch the live streaming of the CDP Days 2011 Spring Conference.
What? The live streaming will include presentations by CD Projekt RED with their awesome game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, and GOG.com revealing some cool stuff. Both presentations will be in English.
Where? You'll be able to watch both presentations on GOG.com. On Thursday we'll put up a news post with a live stream video window embedded in it for your convenience.
When? The live streaming of CD Projekt RED presentation will start on Thursday, April 14 at 12:00 p.m. EST (that's 4:00 p.m. GMT - that's 9:00 a.m. Los Angeles time, 12:00 p.m. New York, 5:00 p.m. London time or 6:00 p.m. Warsaw time). GOG will hit the stage an hour later at 1:00 p.m. EST (5:00 p.m. GMT).

You may also notice some teaser spots on the front page. These will change during the next three days, so feel free to speculate what's it all about :). See you on Thursday!
Speaking for me (and reading about the announcement for a mere 5 mins now):

What game made you dream of the Stars?

X - Beyond the frontier

What game made you ride with the outlaws?

Had to deal with everythin to make money and get better equipment and yes - I had to buy pirate's stuff to tune my ship ...

What game made you fear your past?

X - 'cause these darn terraformer were still lurking out there ... waiting to crush earth

What game made you go to the underworld?

Sometime had to do nasty stuff to get in to touch with people/species/equipment - okay, that's not that much fitting ...

What game made monsters fear you?

After working hard to get my equipment ready I kicked every monster's *ss ;)
Big shields, best weapons - hell yeah, everyone feared me :)

To be true: I don't care that much which game they 'll give us, 'cause I know that they dig up really good old games. So it's very likely to be a gem, worth being played again- and I am looking forward to it!

If I was going to pick one game that fit all the clues I'd say Privateer 2.
You all stopped? Please, continue speculating... I want to see more interpretations of the words monster, fear, stars, ride, underworld, dream and past. This is mad :-)

Delixe: To make things even MORE confusing here is some evidence Square-Enix are also involved.
Holy crap! Awesome find! I'm surprised my guess might be right. Can't wait till thief is out!!!
You know there is posibility that text clues are red herrings and we should look for clues in fuzzy background.:D

I am unsure of what to make of all this. It could be Square Enix/Eidos (in which case, FF7! WOOT!), or LucasArts (X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, anyone?), or even EA (Theme Hospital, PGA Tour Golf, just about anything is possible), or it could be all three mentioned publishers, in which case...

*BJ's wallet starts to scream really loudly, like a teenage girl on a roller coaster*

*BJ covers his ears, lest he try to out-scream his wallet and get hoarse*

After the 4th post I´ve decided not to continue speculating. For me a deal announcement with Lucastars and EA the same day is too strange... It goes against all the past GOG policy.
Wait a minute..... with the proof shown by Delixe that Theif 2 is coming to GOG........Than that means looking glass studios is now on GOG........And looking glass Studios developed a little known game called System shock.....and its sequel........
Something is screaming Diablo to me... I don't know why.
"What game made you dream of the Stars?"

Wing Commander series

"What game made you ride with the outlaws?"

Privateer series

"What game made you fear your past?"

Crusader series

"What game made you go to the underworld?"

Ultima Underworld series

"What game made monsters fear you?"

Ultima series

GoG is acquiring the Origin catalog!

I wish.

Without a Crusader hint? Now that's just rude. ;)

I hesitate to say it would NEVER happen but I have a hard time believing that blizzard would ever sell a majority of their games here. They already have an easy way to do it on their own.

I think the font thingy pretty muchs confirms that AT least we are getting Dungeon Keeper 2. I mean, it's the exact same font!

Eminently possible. I would think they'd use Dungeon Keeper 2's in-game font, but perhaps that would be too much of a dead giveaway.

Still, given the hints, this is more likely to concern a developer rather than one specific game.

Definitely hoping it turns out to be EA. Or even just all the games that were once licensed under Bullfrog. :P
