The big day is approaching and everyone is counting hours, minutes and seconds when the GOG staff members will appear in the spotlight! Believe us, we're all excited about this as well, but first things first. Let us give you some details, so everyone knows who, what, where and when.

Who? All of you, our dear users, are invited to watch the live streaming of the CDP Days 2011 Spring Conference.
What? The live streaming will include presentations by CD Projekt RED with their awesome game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, and GOG.com revealing some cool stuff. Both presentations will be in English.
Where? You'll be able to watch both presentations on GOG.com. On Thursday we'll put up a news post with a live stream video window embedded in it for your convenience.
When? The live streaming of CD Projekt RED presentation will start on Thursday, April 14 at 12:00 p.m. EST (that's 4:00 p.m. GMT - that's 9:00 a.m. Los Angeles time, 12:00 p.m. New York, 5:00 p.m. London time or 6:00 p.m. Warsaw time). GOG will hit the stage an hour later at 1:00 p.m. EST (5:00 p.m. GMT).

You may also notice some teaser spots on the front page. These will change during the next three days, so feel free to speculate what's it all about :). See you on Thursday!
This is so exciting! :D

LucasArts and EA...that would totally make my head explode! :D

I should make a video of my head exploding if its both publishers! :O

O, i hope its Diablo 1, but thats seems highly unlikely.
Origin Systems maybe, I hope its LucasArts
Well, one thing is for sure. Their marketing plan is working just fine.....

unless the new publisher is something like Funbox. Then the people here will shred them apart.!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH

What if it's Ultima Underworld
What if it's Ultima Underworld

AHHHHHH

Answer: Then that would be cool. It's not like I've ever played it before (or any Ultima extensively), but I really want to.
I would say Lucas Arts, or EA, or maybe even Eidos could fit all the clues in some way.

What Game Made you Dream of the Stars?
LA: The Dig
EA: Wing Commander
Eidos: Anachronox

What Game Made You Ride with the Outlaws?
LA: Outlaws
EA: Autoduel
Eidos: Gangsters

What Game Made You Fear Your Past?
LA: Star Wars KOTOR
EA: Bioforge
Eidos: Revenant

What Game Made You Go To the Underworld?
LA: Grim Fandango
EA: Ultima
Eidos: Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver

Kunovski: "ride with outlaws" can still mean Full Throttle ;)

BJWanlund: No, the Wild West font fits Outlaws perfectly. Unless Full Throttle was set in the Old West, which I am positive it is not.

And yep, I think it is LA as well.
STARS - Star Wars games (TIE Fighter, X-Wing, etc), The Dig
OUTLAWS - Outlaws (obviously), Full Throttle
PAST - Day of the Tentacle (huzzah if true, never ever played that one)
UNDERWORLD - Grim Fandango or Afterlife

Tomorrow cannot come soon enough.

BJ
this is what I think it is for Origin Systems

STARS - Wing Commander series
OUTLAWS - Space Rogue, Privateer
PAST - Times of Lore
UNDERWORLD- Ultima Underworld
Monsters fear you - Dungeon Keeper? Heroes feared you, but your monsters you employed most likely feared you more.

This is exactly why I'm not exactly ecstatic about anything until they actually reveal what it is - as I mentioned before, I've had it up to here (*shows at the neck*) with their marketing tricks, especially the ones that end in a disappointment or ruined hopes for something awesome or at least surprising. :D Right now so many people are speculating that it's EA, LA, Eidos, or whatever else, but what if in the end it turns out to be some craptacular publisher with some craptacular game that not many people really knew before but that amazingly fits all the clues mentioned? :D I'm not trying to rain on the parade guys, and I'm not saying that this is what is going to happen, but given the peculiar taste of GOG's humor and the multiple instances of this strange humor causing disappointment and even anger in the community, it's an option that can't be excluded completely. So yep... As for me, I'll just let them release whatever it is without going all ecstatic and without making any guesses. After all, there are still hundreds, possibly thousands of amazing classic games to be released - if it's one of the worthy classic ones, I don't care much which one exactly it will be - my wallet is always ready to spend $5.99 or $9.99 on it, no matter if it's EA, LA, Eidos, Blizzard, or a far less awaited publisher but with an amazing classic game. :) And if it's going to be something mediocre and not really worth mentioning - well, at least the disappointment won't be bitter. :)))

Wet blanket much? :P

I for one like the speculation. It makes for a fun week and lots of excitement for all.

BTW, not trying to stir up old controversy but by anger at past stunts you wouldn't happen to be talking about a particular weekend in september, 2010....now would you? I actually loved that bit. It made me laugh to no end how people got upset over it.
Hehe :)

Yep, I agree that speculation can be fun, it just feels weird when you expect something big (no matter what it is... and no matter if you expect anything particular - you know, just... something big...) and in the end it turns out to be mundane and regular.

Umm September 2010 was actually only one of the things to happen but actually it didn't anger me much, if at all... It made me curious but not exactly angry, especially given that I always keep the offline downloaded backups of all my GOG games, so I was good. :) However, the following video (the whole "spec ops infiltration" thing) made me feel pretty excited about the big things to come, although no super big things ever came since then for quite a while (and the Atari/Hasbro row was already long announced by then and only the worst of skeptics could have assumed that the 7th game in the Atari/Hasbro row was *not* going to be BG2 :)))), and then the whole 14-day countdown before the Christmas sale, promising a huge surprise which in the end came out to be the Christmas sale itself (which, once again, the majority of people totally expected, so it wasn't a surprise). :))) So yep... GOG likes to create the hype and agitation, but I sure wish it at least lived up to the level of hype they're building up.

Right now, for instance, all of us have reasons to believe again that it's going to be something big. You know, EA big or LA big or Eidos big or whatever else. Big. If it's going to be anything but big (no matter what it's going to be exactly), people are going to be disappointed again. :)))
The monsters fear you one seems so much like Dungeon Keeper - right down to the colour scheme and typeface - and the text fits the game perfectly!

Edit: Or Diablo ..... Hmmmm

The background of the "What game made monsters fear you?" hint looks like the cover of this game too: http://www.mobygames.com/game/abomination
