The big day is approaching and everyone is counting hours, minutes and seconds when the GOG staff members will appear in the spotlight! Believe us, we're all excited about this as well, but first things first. Let us give you some details, so everyone knows who, what, where and when.

Who? All of you, our dear users, are invited to watch the live streaming of the CDP Days 2011 Spring Conference.
What? The live streaming will include presentations by CD Projekt RED with their awesome game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, and GOG.com revealing some cool stuff. Both presentations will be in English.
Where? You'll be able to watch both presentations on GOG.com. On Thursday we'll put up a news post with a live stream video window embedded in it for your convenience.
When? The live streaming of CD Projekt RED presentation will start on Thursday, April 14 at 12:00 p.m. EST (that's 4:00 p.m. GMT - that's 9:00 a.m. Los Angeles time, 12:00 p.m. New York, 5:00 p.m. London time or 6:00 p.m. Warsaw time). GOG will hit the stage an hour later at 1:00 p.m. EST (5:00 p.m. GMT).

You may also notice some teaser spots on the front page. These will change during the next three days, so feel free to speculate what's it all about :). See you on Thursday!

spindown: THE ANTICIPATION IS FUCKING KILLING ME!!

(Actually, it's kind of funny that we are all getting so excited about the re-release of some games that came out like 10 - 20 years ago. Can't help it though.)
On the contrary, GOG is one of the few places where you actually can pull stuff like this. It won't work with new stuff (definitionally of dubious "don't know if want" quality) - new won't hold attention for more than 1.5 seconds.

No, the whole thing works exactly because these are good (already released and deemed still marketable) games, something we definitionally want.
i should also say:

ZOMFG I REALLY HOPE IT IS OUTLAWS!!!!!!!!

I remember the day I brought that home. AMAZING! Just a few months ago I spent DAYS searching for some ISOs for my netbook... Now they're gone, but at least now i access to the actual disks (I was in Costa Rica for 4 months). OUTLAWS (if that is what is coming) NEEDS TO BE PLAYED BY EVERYONE!!!!
if it is really lucasarts, i just hope it's more than the steam catalogue.

else this would be pretty disappointing
Underworld? Maybe Ultima underworld?

OMG, maybe we´lll see EA on GOG al last?
ok, it's official now:

if we want to survive this with our minds clear, we need to go to sleep now (yes, right now!) and wake up tomorrow 18:00 GMT.

Sarioya: Everybody keeps linking "underworld" with Grim Fandango. I don't remember them ever dropping that term in the game. True, I have yet to beat it, but if I recall correctly, they just keep "the land of the dead." Which doesn't necessarily mean "underworld" to me. Just a thought.
Because it isn't the underworld, it's just a four-year Limbo of sorts. The Ninth Underworld is where everyone goes after their stay in the Land of the Dead in the game world. That's where the Number Nine train goes.

That is nitpicking, though. Underworld is a valid term for the game's setting, I'd say.
Ultima Underworld!? Please?
GUYS. It's clearly Sega.

"Underworld" is similar to "Undercaves," which was the second level of Ecco the Dolphin. In the first level, Ecco talks to a dolphin regarding the stars on Ecco's head ("The marks on your head look like stars in the sky.")

"What game made you fear your past?" Obviously, this is Ecco the Dolphin. The time-travelling aspect of the game has Ecco go to the sunken city of Atlantis and use a time-travelling device to return 55 million years into the past. Wherein Ecco genetically marks the enemies he attacks with the ideas of Ecco's hostility, which will then be implanted for the future state of Ecco and his family. Additionally, the Vortex attack every 500 years has an effect on Ecco's emotions.

"What game made you ride with the outlaws?" This makes perfect sense. Throughout the game, Ecco has to team up with orca whales to find The Big Blue and the Asterite in order to locate Atlantis. They are "outlaws," because orcas hunt dolphins for food.

Therefore, Sega.

QED.

spindown: Slightly off topic, but are you aware of the unofficial replacement installer for Grim Fandando? You said something about patches, so I don't know if that's what you meant. In any case, I can run Grim Fandango on Windows 7 using the replacement installer.

You can download the program here: http://quick.mixnmojo.com/grim-fandango-setup
Yeah I can get the game to install and run but then there's random graphical errors such as the disappearance of all text . I've tried that replacement installer and XP patches. Thanks for trying to help though.
What game made you go the underworld?

Certainly its Ultima Underworld 1 and 2.

predcon: Max Payne went into an "underworld" of sorts.
Hmmm...

Space Station Silicon Valley was an N64 exclusive, and that's the only Rockstar game I can think of that was related to space. The Red Dead games also didn't get a PC version.

wow, this sounds like a good argumentation.
Everybody is searching for different games fitting to the clues. This one game in the quoted post fits to all of the clues. nice.

I hope it isn't right. I just like attributing everything to Ecco the Dolphin.

Certainly its Ultima Underworld 1 and 2.
I think the main thing stopping me from conceding that possibility is that Grim Fandango is a very viable alternative to that, while the Outlaws hint has no real alternative anyone has thought of other than Outlaws of Full Throttle.
