The big day is approaching and everyone is counting hours, minutes and seconds when the GOG staff members will appear in the spotlight! Believe us, we're all excited about this as well, but first things first. Let us give you some details, so everyone knows who, what, where and when.

Who? All of you, our dear users, are invited to watch the live streaming of the CDP Days 2011 Spring Conference.
What? The live streaming will include presentations by CD Projekt RED with their awesome game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, and GOG.com revealing some cool stuff. Both presentations will be in English.
Where? You'll be able to watch both presentations on GOG.com. On Thursday we'll put up a news post with a live stream video window embedded in it for your convenience.
When? The live streaming of CD Projekt RED presentation will start on Thursday, April 14 at 12:00 p.m. EST (that's 4:00 p.m. GMT - that's 9:00 a.m. Los Angeles time, 12:00 p.m. New York, 5:00 p.m. London time or 6:00 p.m. Warsaw time). GOG will hit the stage an hour later at 1:00 p.m. EST (5:00 p.m. GMT).

You may also notice some teaser spots on the front page. These will change during the next three days, so feel free to speculate what's it all about :). See you on Thursday!

Smannesman: I am pretty sure it's Lucas though.

What Game Made you Dream of the Stars - The Dig
What Game Made You Ride with the Outlaws - Outlaws
What Game Made You Fear Your Past - Knights of the Old Republic
What Game Made You Go To the Underworld - Grim Fandango

They are probably going to make my wallet hurt so good.
If they don't simply mark everything as a 9.99 game.
Yes, it looks very likely, you can even fit some other LucasArts titles in there, Star wars, Monkey Island, Full Throttle etc.

Vestin: I believe we've reached that wonderful point in speculation, when everyone believes everything... It's either EA, Lucas Arts, Square Enix, Rockstar or THQ.

Well played, GOG, well played -_-'.
Haha, yes.

I'm definitely all for stuff like this. I think it's a lot of fun with all the speculation and expectations, but I do think that some people will end up disappointed no matter what it turns out to be.

Oh well, I personally want LucasArts (and I want it very, very much) but I don't know if I think that this is it. I won't be too disappointed if it isn't though. Sure, I will love it when the day comes, but until then I already have a backlog of several dozen games, so I'll live :)

Three marketing guys are better than Two marketing guys ;)
I wish they'd put Ultima Underworld on GOG!
this is kind of exciting i hope for EA myself jsut over a day to find out cant wait.
'What game made you want to go to the underworld...?'

Could be hinting at Grim Fadango? (not sure if that's how you spell the name)

I've always wanted to play that anyway and the reason I think it's hinting at that is because it deals with death I believe?

Anyways, I'm unsure of what game could be hinted at with regard to EA, when it comes to the outlaw reference. Closest thing I can think of are the old Road Rash games and even then, I can't remember if you're a cop in them. Plus it's in the modern day etc. Memory's fuzzy on them though.

So yeah, I do think signs are pointing to LucasArts, as I do remember the Outlaw game. (Played the demo) And then there's of course the star thing that was mentioned.

I think it is Origin Systems:

Dream of Stars: Wing Commander
Ride with Outlaws: Bad Blood or Crusader: No Remorse/Regret
Fear Your Past: Pacific Strike
Go To The Underground: Ultima Series (incl Ultima Underworld)

LucasArts would be nice, too!!!

Will these games all be released or will we get the usual slow trickle? There's still a lot of games from the current publishers that haven't made their way to GOG. I know there's the whole compatibility issue but that's a key problem with Grim Fandango which is exceptionally difficult to get running properly on any Win 2000 and beyond operating system (which is why I haven't gotten to play it yet despite owning a copy.) the patches out to fix it for XP don't work properly.
The GOG team is small but they freely admit they use external programs like ScummVM and DosBox for many games which all have their own bugs, a lot of which are still in the games GOG releases and therefore there's still no guarantee of the games working properly. I don't want to buy a 2nd copy of a game like Grim Fandango only to find out it has the same problems as my disk copy post-patching.

I feel bad for keeping on posting negatives but they are things worth remembering and addressing. It's not all sunshine and roses even after things are released on GOG; infact it could be the start of a whole new wave of problems.

DelusionsBeta: Since I'm pretty sure that EA also has a game based around cowboys and based around stars, I'm pretty sure that's also a valid option.
I think the word outlaws is really resonating with people. As much as I love the Lucasarts catalog I would much prefer EA, so I want to believe it's possible. I just think Lucasarts is by far the likely candidate.

Roman5: It's LucasArts people
Wait, LucasArts people? They're going to sell us LucasArts employees? That's so cool, I've always wanted one of those guys!

;)
This has aroused my curiousity.
I'll be sure to tune in to the live stream tomorrow then. :)
Max Payne went into an "underworld" of sorts.
