The big day is approaching and everyone is counting hours, minutes and seconds when the GOG staff members will appear in the spotlight! Believe us, we're all excited about this as well, but first things first. Let us give you some details, so everyone knows who, what, where and when.

Who? All of you, our dear users, are invited to watch the live streaming of the CDP Days 2011 Spring Conference.
What? The live streaming will include presentations by CD Projekt RED with their awesome game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, and GOG.com revealing some cool stuff. Both presentations will be in English.
Where? You'll be able to watch both presentations on GOG.com. On Thursday we'll put up a news post with a live stream video window embedded in it for your convenience.
When? The live streaming of CD Projekt RED presentation will start on Thursday, April 14 at 12:00 p.m. EST (that's 4:00 p.m. GMT - that's 9:00 a.m. Los Angeles time, 12:00 p.m. New York, 5:00 p.m. London time or 6:00 p.m. Warsaw time). GOG will hit the stage an hour later at 1:00 p.m. EST (5:00 p.m. GMT).

You may also notice some teaser spots on the front page. These will change during the next three days, so feel free to speculate what's it all about :). See you on Thursday!

Not old enough! :P
I don’t know…all those LA hints are somehow to obvious for me and I think they deceive us. I only hope gog team realizes that with such marketing approach if that big publisher is NOT LA – it has to be sth equal - and that leaves only EA on stage. Either way I shall be delighted :-)

No clue about 3rd hint.
I dunno... I'm guessing the game that made you "fear your past" is Witcher 1, the original. Or the Enhanced version.
Does that blurred background mean anything?
maybe the enhanced version of the old Monkey Island 1?

Kil3r: Does that blurred background mean anything?
perhaps it's a blurred screenshot or a blurred part of a gamecover?
Hey, it's probably hinting at Lucas Arts.

Could also be one game of the Elder Scrolls series. Morrowind maybe? :-)

BTW, what happened to Homeworld?
I don't suppose anyone guessed Max Payne yet, hey? Although that wasn't really a "dark past worth hiding" situation. It was more like "an unfortunate series of events leading to the climax that was presented at the very beginning of the game".
After reviewing the posts here I have arrived at the conclusion that it's Monkey Island and the publisher is Lucas Arts.
Frontier: Elite 2 ... one can dream

F.E.A.R. came out in 2005 (and they have games from as recent as 2008 on this site). So yeah, it's definitely old enough to be on the site. I'm not saying it IS F.E.A.R., but the possibility is there.

Gray blob on red background, at that angle...
A game that made you fear your past...

That looks like Darth Malak to me, from KOTOR.

Dream of the Stars.. Star Wars?
Fear your past.. Darth Revan?
It does make sense, in a GOG way.
And LucasArts really should be on GOG.
