The big day is approaching and everyone is counting hours, minutes and seconds when the GOG staff members will appear in the spotlight! Believe us, we're all excited about this as well, but first things first. Let us give you some details, so everyone knows who, what, where and when.

Who? All of you, our dear users, are invited to watch the live streaming of the CDP Days 2011 Spring Conference.
What? The live streaming will include presentations by CD Projekt RED with their awesome game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, and GOG.com revealing some cool stuff. Both presentations will be in English.
Where? You'll be able to watch both presentations on GOG.com. On Thursday we'll put up a news post with a live stream video window embedded in it for your convenience.
When? The live streaming of CD Projekt RED presentation will start on Thursday, April 14 at 12:00 p.m. EST (that's 4:00 p.m. GMT - that's 9:00 a.m. Los Angeles time, 12:00 p.m. New York, 5:00 p.m. London time or 6:00 p.m. Warsaw time). GOG will hit the stage an hour later at 1:00 p.m. EST (5:00 p.m. GMT).

You may also notice some teaser spots on the front page. These will change during the next three days, so feel free to speculate what's it all about :). See you on Thursday!

Umm actually GOG like to be blatantly obvious as they were with their Activision hints. They had a great laugh at our expense as we argued for a full week over every possible publisher while they were practically screaming IT'S ACTIVISION!!!

What game made you think of the STARS? - Star Wars
What game do you ride with the OUTLAWS? - Outlaws

The next two hints will probably involve Archeology (Indiana Jones) and the colour Purple (Maniac Mansion)

cangelo: If that were the case, then why "ride". You never ride a horse in that game if I remember....and it's too obvious of a clue to just throw the name of the title in it. The Gog crew are a tad more creative than that!

so "riding with outlaws" is obviously "Outlaws" where you don't ride anything instead of Full Throttle where you ride a motorcycle with ... um ... outlaws. I don't understand how they want to be blantantly obvious but not really... and you didn't say "obvious" ... you said blatantly obvious...so in that case, "DUDES WE GOT KOTOR ON THE WAY!" fits the logic

Fine the new publisher is clearly Nintendo. The clues are Super Mario Galaxy for stars and a tenuous link to Team Rocket for the Outlaws.

The Dark Forces / Jedi Knight games, maybe. They are all available on Steam at a rather low price.

Personally, though, I'm hoping for the flight sims, X-Wing and Tie-Fighter (the CEs with all add-ons, of course) and X-Wing Alliance.

Also, I'd be happy about the two KOTOR games. Presently, only the first game is on Steam, and I'd like the ease-of-use that GOG offers for both. (4 cds per game...we were tougher back then!)

In the case of KOTOR2 it was 4 cd's plus 120MB download for decent quality music and about 3GB download for Bink movies that didn't look like complete arse. Hopefully a GOG release of KOTOR2 will be fully patched with the official Lucasarts Music and Movie patches.

Those are my hopes above all...I doubt that would be the first announcement but we can certainly hope.

Think it's worth keeping an eye on the main page banner for changes? Or assume they haven't put a time-delay on and left the offices for the night, with no home-access to editing?

Personally, I say leave it until tomorrow. Must be midnight or later in Poland, now.

How very true. And keep that Restoration Project mod handy. (Version 1.8 coming soon!)

Like I said, the statement is not meant to be taken literally, it's just figurative, like almost all of GOG's "obscurely obvious" clues are. Just looking at the old west style font they used does seem to indicate that whatever "outlaws" they are referring to are the old west kind, not the biker kind, hence Outlaws and not Full Throttle.

The font on that hint is rather obvious, though. It is the "Outlaws" Wild-West style font for certain. How it cannot be Outlaws is beyond me.
