I've previously had no problems downloading games from gog.com and the site itself is nicely accessible.
But the last couple of days I've had problems - at first I thought it was just the new Mount&Blade game but it turns out I can no longer download any games (or wallpapers or other extras).

It would seem that edgecastcdn.net (the download servers) is being blocked.

Any other goggers currently on the mainland can confirm/deny their ability to download games at present?

Hoping this is just a temporary glitch - all was fine last month when I downloaded NWN.

I'd go through a proxy but the only ones I know don't let me log in to gog.com (login button doesn't show up)

There was someone else having that problem, let me see if I can find that thread again and if there was some solution :-)

do you know if its some kind of governmental censorship?

^don't know for sure - there are plenty of sites that get that but sometimes another site gets blocked by accident (maybe it's on a server in the middle or gets caught up in some auto-bot thingy.
Sometimes these things resolve themselves, sometimes not.

I've been able to download since that thread too so maybe tis a temporal thing :)

Just as an update on this - I can now download again :)
The download server is routing to cdn.gog.com rather than edgecastcdn.net so that might have something to do with it (as edgecastcdn still refuses to be pinged).

So yay for gog and linkage :)
