Me and /lurk are going to play lots of TF2 tonight. It'd be awesome if there were, like, 3/4 people for us to join on the server to play with, but we'll likely be playing coldfront unless there are.

Unfortunately, I can only get the censored version in Germany, maybe someone else could buy it for me? I could give the money by PayPal or in exchange with GOGs.

The server is password protected right now for testing because the latest patch brought down the whole plugin system. Currently waiting for patches to come from upstream then need to test those and see what plugins still won't work and try and fix them.

I hope that we'll be back live and public tonight. If you want the password give me a shout but beware that the server will crash/restart at random times.

The server is back online but without the plugins; fortunately, they already implemented a map vote system (but no nominations).

To use it, after connecting to a server you go to the main menu (press esc) and select the call vote option on the resume game button and then select the next level option to vote for the next level (or the change level one to change the map instantly).

Plugins have been reinstalled and everything seems to work as normal; this means that we're back to the old method of voting because it is more flexible (at least until Valve implements nominations).

I thought the mapvote allowed you to vote for any map on the map rotation?

It does, but it doesn't let you nominate a map for an end of map vote; the integrated vote allows you to either (a) vote for a mapchange now (with only one map - so it's a "change to this map now? Yes/No") or (b) vote for a map at the end of the one played (which means "change to this map after this one ends? Yes/No").

As soon as they allow "add this map to the end of map vote list" then I'll disable the custom vote plugin. Also, a nicer way to invoke the vote would be nice.
