It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Maybe I can donate about 5-10€ by the end of the week (it takes a few days to transfer money to paypal without a credit card).

Took longer than expected but the server if back up again.

Our host had issues with the update process as well as with the server admin panel; right now they fixed those but managed to break the map download server so no new maps can be added right now (wanted to add the koth Portal map).

Old downloads/maps that are already on should download normally.

Is there actually any traffic on the server and if so, how would one join it?

Sometimes. There is a game about twice a week. If you want to join, see the first post in this thread. The server is public, the Steam group is invitation only.

I'm sorry, I should have phrased my question better. I'm not sure how to join a TF2 server by IP:Port, given that I haven't found an option to do so yet.

Easiest way: in Steam, go View > Servers > Favorites > Add a Server and paste the address into the box there. From that moment on, you can check the server screen to see if someone is playing on the GOG server; if they are, you can either launch TF2 from here by doubleclicking the server name, or start TF2 and go to the Favorite servers tab. The in-game server window is actually the same, so it doesn't really matter which way you do it.

Thanks a bunch ;)
Could I get an invite? I used to play the crap out of this game, might get back into it.

Because of problems with our host we are now running only vanilla maps; unfortunately custom maps couldn't be downloaded neither from the fast download server nor from the game server so we'll have to play only regular ones until this is fixed.

If it's not too impolite to ask, what specifications does your current server provide?
(RAM, CPU, HDD [space and I/O], bandwidth and traffic)

No idea to be honest as it isn't a dedicated server but a hosted one; this means that I don't have access to the machine/VPS but only to the gameserver through a web interface.

To be honest, we haven't had many issues with them until now, and now they're working fast on fixing the general issues brought forth by the new TF2 patches. This, coupled with the decent price and awesome support (despite being UK based I've got replies in a couple of minutes to tickets opened at around 3 AM GMT) make them a nice pick.

Here's the offer page.
Yes, even played competitively for a couple of years. Never on a high level.
