Invite sent (hope that was you).
I've asked for an invoice to be generated for the EU server for 6 months and tomorrow I'll set up a trial US server for a month (hopefully I can get it free) and we'll see if it's worth pursuing (now the EU server is mostly full on evenings no matter the day).
I'll post a spreadsheet online soon with all the funds and what they're being spent on and update it as soon as anything changes because I want this to be as transparent as possible in the way I handle the money but unfortunately PayPal doesn't let me do that with its own APIs.

I think you should contact GOG and ask them if they can post a sticky containing the IP of the servers. To spread its popularity a little more to those who don't check this thread much.
And, maybe they'll be so kind and post about it on the news page? (you never know) :)

Will do that.
You can now check the status of the server funds by going to http://bit.ly/gom-funds
There you can see the date on which a transaction has been made, the type (we received money or spent it), the sum and a description of the transaction (on what it was spent) as well as the total money received, total spent, total balance available, day remaining until the server needs to be paid again and the next date we need to pay.
It's set to be viewable without logging in (Google Docs Spreadsheet) but apparently it still asks for it (just use your Google account if you have one); hope to fix this soon.

Sorry, couldn't find you. Could you put a link to your profile page?
As for the lack of coffee and all, I know, it's 3:05 here and in 6 hours and 30 minutes I've got an exam. No sleep but I'm not studying, just browsing the web :\

Thanks, should have the game installed after work...getting 45k download speed at the moment :)
OK, the EU server has been payed for 6 months. Unfortunately the people we host with don't have servers in the US so I checked the prices and http://www.gameservers.com/ seem to be the cheapest for US.
Now, seeing as the US is large, here are the IPs for their servers and location. Check them out and see which one has nice ping and post here (I'm interested in the US/Aus/Canada players mostly).
Tampa Bay, Florida - 4.79.145.136
St. Louis, Missouri - 8.6.75.102
Seattle, Washington - 63.211.221.175
San Jose, California - 8.6.15.154
New York / New Jersey - 216.155.146.69
Montreal, Canada - 208.167.232.40
Los Angeles, California - 8.3.6.210
Dallas, Texas- 68.232.162.209
Chicago, Illinois - 8.9.4.114
Atlanta, Georgia - 63.211.110.192
EDIT: REDUNDANT BULLSHIT

Hey Joe, it appears that Valve have fixed the codec issue so I can probably convert those demos to videos now (if someone hasn't done so already). Can I have them links :D?
Hey, I'm based in the UK (so use the UK server anyway) but thought I'd ping these servers just to see what kinds of results I get. The best ones I got are:
Montreal, Canada - 208.167.232.40
Pinging 130ms and 131ms
New York / New Jersey - 216.155.146.69
Pinging 135ms and 136ms
St. Louis, Missouri - 8.6.75.102
Pinging 142ms and 143ms
If others post their results then it may help, but as I said, I'm in the UK so use the UK server. My net connection is ADSL and I tend to max out at about 3MB/s downstream.
