Politeness has it's benefits. It's not just that the average GOGer isn't exactly a spring chicken, but really, "please" and "thank you" have taken me far sometimes, specially when dealing with public servants and people who don't expect a "please" or a "thank you" in their daily lives.
Also, about the cussing... there's a certain "power" of the foul word when NOT used often. If you hear a loud mouthed person cussing left and right, it gets to a point where the cuss word loses it's magic. Overusing it wastes all the potential to shock and awe a non expecting audience, simply because they are expecting it and know it takes very little to set the loudmouth off. However, there's no better tool for the tame and the polite than to drop a loud FUCK!! to stop people dead in their tracks, who never saw it coming. Their eyes grow wide, astounded that you actually know and can use the word. They all worry and wonder what sort of monstrous catastrophe set you off and that opens a window of opportunity for you to set things the way you want them.
"Fuck" is a wonderful tool when you know how and when to use it.
