Luckily GOG has carved out a profitable niche service the rest of us when they can.

You have been criticized for exchanging money based on false assumptions, when a single mouse click and a bit of reading would have told you everything you needed to know. Also for posting an aggressive reply to someone who was trying to help you. Both criticisms are perfectly valid, and in no way counts as "mistreatment".

You are most welcome here. The more, the merrier, as they say. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask them. The community here is generally extremely helpful, not to mention generous.

This thread is funny. Person hilariously buys something without knowing what it was, then open a thread to basically tell us about it. Then he takes offense when told to RTFM.

Seriously, what kind of answer was the OP expecting? If some joking and honest to the point explanations are offensive, what should the answer have been?

I agree. In general, the community here is very forgiving and very helpful; in return, there's the reasonable expectation that users asking questions do a minimum amount of research first.

It really wouldn't have taken much to find out that GoG and steam don't mix at all -just look at the FAQ:

I think myself that people on GOG like to help other people but we sometimes lack in patience, and speak out our opinions quite directly(which in a way is very good). Anyway don't be mad and feel free to ask anything anytime!

So you're spreading it's word by being an biased Steamprophet? Post 47 seems even more appropriate now, but I honestly don't really care wether you like Steam or not. What I do not like are posts like Steam is da ultimate and GOG is shit and if GOG could only be more assimilated by the Steam because they're going to take over the world and if you don't agree you are all silly and irritating and wrong.
