Completely out of my league.
I'm happy to announce that we have our first winner! :-) One of the users sent us a nearly perfect answer, naming all the games and putting them in a correct order--with one exception: he switched places of one game with its sequel, which is acceptable under the circumstances. Phew... So we didn't make it impossible to solve after all.
If we submit a guess with an error, will we be informed and allowed to guess again, or are we only allowed a single entry?
I recognize all of the songs, yet at the same time I have no clue!
Although I was doubtful at first, I'm fairly sure I know all the games in the video...it's just that I haven't got the slightest clue which order they are in. With the exception of #5. Damn you GOG. DAMN YOU!
I am the same way... I recognize the music and may know a connection but yet I have no clue.

You can submit multiple entries. Shall we say... 3? That seems fair. But we won't inform you whether you were successful or not before the contest deadline. Because, come on--if we tell winners that they got all answers correct, what's to keep them from telling their friends all the good answers? That wouldn't be sporty, now would it?
Hmm..I don't have a clue…

GOG, is this just a contest or it's a prelude to sth bigger :-)?
Couldn't regonize any of them. Most of the time unless I love the music a lot, I dont remember any of the tracks in a game........(sad face)

"The first ten people who email us with all the correct answers put in correct order will receive a bonus code. "

I think I know all of them, but unfortunately I think GOG.com must have already received all ten correct entries by now.

This promo may be related to an upcoming release. Very likely, based on the timing of this promo and the approaching release date of that upcoming game. Could GOG be getting that game?? Hopefully.

Does that make you a *put on glasses* Sad panda!?

jokes aside, my knowledge of videogame soundtracks is very poor but i have two guesses that i am sure of... is wrong
GG GOG, well I have figured out the common theme of all of them but now its a matter of time before I crack the exact tittles of the soundtrack. Unless there has already been 10 correct entries...I only know 2 right of the bat the rest are a challenge.

Up until now we've only received 10 email entires total, of which only 5 were correct. Plus don't forget about that part:

" Another batch of 10 codes will be distributed among the users who sent their correct answers later."

There's no reason you shouldn't email us with your answers!
I think I recognize 1, 5 and 6 but I'm not actually sure, they sound like they could come from the same the game.

Anyway, I hope you will release the answers when the contest is done? I'm dying to know them..

Wishbone: Great idea for a contest, but you seem to have gone out of your way to make it as obscure as possible. 7 unmemorable bits of classical music, sounding enough alike that they could easily all have come from the same game, or even from different places in the same piece of music.

I don't recognize a single one of them, I must admit.

Arteveld: Same here, most epic music sounds the same to me. Didn't recognize a single one. ;)
If it were midi/midi-similar [like CMF] or a module i'd be all over this.
I'm the same. Is there an explanation for it? Maybe blips take up less space in my brain or something.
