The GOG.com Annual Gamer Survey is now our yearly tradition, so once again we ask that you spare 5 minutes of your time and help us make your favorite digital distribution platform a better place. Taking part in it isn't mandatory of course, but recommended if you want to have your share in making GOG the best digital distribution service there is.

If you already own Realms of Arkanie 1+2, the code can be gifted as well.

Grab a pencil... er, a keyboard in your hands and answer the questions below for a better future mankind (with the exeption of non-gamers), and expect a special gift from GOG.com in your mailbox in a few days. Remember that all the small red " * " stars mark the questions that are required.

[i]The survey ends on Monday, September 17 at 9:59 AM GMT. We will start sending out codes for Realms of Arkania 1+2 after all the entries are processed.

Never mind the game - I'm helping gog!
The most important question was missing:

"Which new major publisher do you want to bring us to you within 4 weeks?"

:)))

ABH20: The numbers for the 'How Many bundles did you buy?' question are pretty low, considering how many various indie bundles there are these days.
The numbers for "How many kickstarter projects did you support" are pretty low, too. I've already paid for 42, and 3 are still ongoing.
I was first unsure what to write on the "on how old PC do you play your GOGs", because so far I've played them solely in quite old/weak hardware. Only very recently I've started installing them on more recent PC hardware, but I feel I will still play most of them on my older PCs, save for the most demanding games (like the Witchers, FarCry 2 etc.).

After all, the Infinity engine RPGs (Baldur's Gates etc.) seem to run better on the older PCs with ATI/AMD graphics, while on the newer GeForce-powered laptop, I get the not-so-nice blocky fog of war etc. (but setting in-game graphics to 16-bit and some software BLT options seem to fix it, though).

I answered "new PC" though, just to make clear that I do wish GOG games in general to run ok on new PC hardware.

thanks for the game GoG!

i do find it weird that i can't mention DRM free as being important when I buy old games or day 1 release games.

it would be nice if there was a question that allowed you to list the most important things about gog
I don't care about getting a free copy of Realms of Arkania 1+2 (I already have the trilogy here), and I don't care about gifting it (anybody who wants a copy right now can spare five minutes of their time to get it).

It was a fun survey though, and hopefully the information will prove helpful to you guys.

A shame that this is an annual survey. As well as being infrequent, it's also quite brief. Don't be afraid of asking your customers too many questions. Most of us would probably survive the attempt, and hopefully we'd all benefit from it. ;)

I'm pretty sure there will be people who either joined GOG after the survey, or miss it for any other reason. So I bet there will be lots of RoA 1+2 Santa Clauses for those people then.

It's because they are going to release all of them :P
I have to admit that the survey made me feel like a cheapskate since I more or less only buy the promos. Same as last year really.

That may not be entirely false but also not completely true. I have so many games now I'll probably play less than 10% of the games I buy on GoG. I feel more like a collector at times (E.g. I've bought all Ultima games in various promos but only tried installing the first on a nostalgic urge). There is no way I'm going to have time to play all the games I've bought here (and not to mention the stack of PS3 and PC games I haven't even broken out of the plastic).

I just hope they remember that the cheapskates can be considered sponsors of the selective but full price buying members :-)

So keep the promos coming. I can probably not keep from buying yet more games I will never have time to play. :-)
The... how much money do you spent on games monthly was a bit tricky for me. For instance, I backed Wasteland2's and Carmageddon's kickstarter with $250 each and I get interesting games on gog but that doesn't often.

It can go months and months without me spending anything. The money I spend on games are either boxed editions (like 1-5 per year, on gog or on kickstarter) All in all, gog probably get most of that.

You're not alone. And anyway: GOG already knows exactly how much/little you spent on your catalogue here. :)

I just wish it would be already christmas. :)
Done. I liked the idea of podcats ;)
