We've already [url=https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/411178_10151132738072657_1942233417_o.jpg" target="_blank]decorated our tree[/url]. We've started the sale. But seems like we're forgetting something.

Oh! That's right! It's not the holidays without a chance to visit GOG.com, looking for new and interesting ways that Coala has photo-chopped wintery iconography into them. It's a tradition that we're continuing for our fourth year!

The contest is simple: go through our catalog; we've edited 12 images, scattered across our wide selection of games, to include obvious holiday references, such as santa hats, Christmas trees, or reindeer. For an example, take a look at one of our screenshots from last year:

When you’ve got them all, list them all in an email to "contest@gog.com" with the subject line being "GOG.com 2012 Scavenger Screenshot Hunt". From every valid application we will pick 10 winners who got all the games right and gift them two games from the entire catalog. The contest ends on Tuesday December 25th 2012 11:59 GMT.

Or, I suppose, on the 21st of December when the world erupts in fire and doom. But if we're still around after that, then we'll end the contest officially on the 24th. ;)

I'm not sure what you're talking about? Didn't see any secret bonus ones.

Oh and, here's a tip for anyone that wants to be sure that they got the correct games:

Use google cache to compare the old screenshots with the new ones.

Will have another look in a day or two as its a long haul going through every screenshot in the catalogue!

While looking for the edited screenshots I noticed that one of the Colonization screenshots says "System Shock 2 Spring". It probably has already come up on the forums before (although I didn't hear about it) but I just felt like spreading the info. I know, one of the GOG guys just called one of his towns "System Shock 2" and took the screen in "Spring", doesn't have to mean anything but they probably didn't do this for no reason. They may just be messing with us but one can dream. ^^

I think this was discussed in the release thread, and Thiev stepped in and said she named the towns based on games, not games that GOG.com has already verified or anything. Let me dig up the post.

I have 9 definites and one possible... so I'm probably on 9 with one wasted evening to show for it!

EDIT: Yeah, it's only 9... I think this is working, I mean my wishlist has grown just looking through the catalog so I guess that's the main idea!

Found all but 1 and Ive just finished looking through all of them. XD hate getting stuck on the last one .. always seems tobe the hardest to find.
