wolfsite: It's listed as Abandonware. That.... is a grey area.

Licurg: No, I'm pretty sure it's legit freeware. You can download it from a site owned by the rights holders, but I always forget what it's called.
Where is Carmen Sandiego's..... website.

Exactly :P
Great thought! When reading thread title Music came to mind. But i totally see a Kids Games market here on GOG. i've no clue as to how big it would be, but it is there even if minor. As point of fact i have been pondering buying a few games for my Nephews and Niece to play when they visit. Is better than television on rainy days. i know there are some here. And likely there is a GOGmix for kid friendly games (but i don't grok how to surf the GOGmixes with anything but randomness, so never bother with them).

Can't go wrong with the Rayman games :)
Honestly, I would buy most of the Humongous games in a heartbeat if they came here. I didn't play them until I was like 14, but a bunch of them came bundled with one of my PCs and I instantly fell in love with them, even if they were "kiddie games."
In terms of Humongous, Pajama Sam and Freddi Fish games would make great additions.

Reader Rabbit games would also be nice to have here.
I would like to see more nonviolent platformers on GOG, since I find them the best way to introduce children to the world of gaming.
I really don't want to be the spoilsport, but it doesn't take a lot of imagination to imagine the shitstorm it would create if two "kiddies games" were the releases of the week ...
I'm all for having old-school educational games on here; Curious George, Carmen, Oregon Trial, AJ's world of Discovery, etc. When I have kids of my own someday, I intend to introduce them to the games from my childhood and I would love to get my hands on the educational ones.

On a side note, I managed to pick up Where In The World is Carmen Sandiego? at a library sale a few weeks ago. When my little cousins come over this weekend, I am so introducing them to Carmen =)

I agree. I was thinking the other day about some of the old kid's games and wishing I could have access to them again. I would support seeing a kid's section on GOG - you know for the kids, not for me of course :).

Damn Mary dies of dysentery :(

Don't be too skeptical. Those games can always be released alongside usual game release. Parents also will be glad to see good educational games and probably purchase it for their children.

Profit for GOG, educational advantage for users. Everybody win!
Hey, just to inform those interested: I hope I don't seem like I'm being boastful, but it appears Barry_Woodward and I are at least doing a little to help on the Humongous side of things:
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/so_nimbus_games_has_released_humongous_entertainment_classics_for_iphone_and_tablets/?search=humongous%20nimbus

If anyone else wants to contact Atari or Nimbus and voice support for this idea, please do. :)

Also: I'm thinking I'll email The Learning Company tomorrow, and suggest they sell some of what we might call "timeless" classics here, like Zoombinis. :) (Well, maybe you have a better suggestion as to what they sell that is "timeless".)

Great idea, i'm all for it, as long as it doesn't affect the release of usual games.
Twitter:

Me: "Would u consider updatin Lego Island to work on today's PCs? :) A classic that should b enjoyed by kids/people today #GOGcom ;) "

Lego_Group: "No present plans to do so, but you never know what the future may bring "

Me: "Understood. It is an award-winning classic, so preservation should occur (plz) ;) Consider releasing the soundtrack, too! :D "

Hah, so true.
