yyahoo: Out of curiosity, what exactly is "older than usual"? And who defines it? The "usual" people?
This is based entirely based on my assumptions and what I've seen around here, so it's just me but most of the time "most gamers" are 15-25 years old and not married
I'm guessing most people on GOG are 25-40 and already have a family and stuff

Maybe it's different in other countries, but I doubt it.

hucklebarry: I disagree with "most". I know I've seen lots of studies on gaming demographics... here is just one: but most of the time "most gamers" are 15-25 years old and not married

"The average gamer is 30 years old and has been playing for 12 years."

I would personally not want to see "kids games" here, mainly because I don't have any and don't want any (kids, that is). I imagine there should be other resources out there for that sort of thing.
Even if I had kids, call me old-fashioned - or an "old fart" (boo) - but at that age I don't think I'd be pushing them into the game market, and I certainly wouldn't use games as a baby-sitter so I could go watch tv. :-)

GOG has "childrens games" already, depending on how you define it, by The Nations and Creatures - the latter is highly complex, though.

GOG has the best children's game out there, Postal!
A bit of trivia though, the same people that made Postal, used to make children's games under a different company name.

tfishell: I think it's a nice idea, but since GOG didn't want to separate the new games from the old, do you think they would go for that? On the other hand, if the kids are gonna be browsing for games they want, I know there are some game pages on here I wouldn't be comfortable with them seeing, mainly for cursing [well, we wouldn't want them on the forums anyway , but even one of the Bloodrayne screenshots has the words "buck-toothed fuck" :P], violence/scary images, and a bit of sexual/suggestive content.
I think most of the browsing and purchasing are done by the parents though.wolfsite
