My timezone is CST/CDT.
If someone buys a domain (http://www.gogcast.com would be AWESOME.), I'll host it on my bandwidth/FTP, and handle all the blog/feeds and stuff.
Also, the first podcast I've been on where I didn't have to edit afterward. YAY!

Gonna have to say no to guests, if you were being serious. But otherwise yes, we'll see how this goes haha.

Forgot to say before, but I'm Mountain Time. Give me enough advance notice and I can probably be there. :)
And even though you said there won't be much editing...yeah, there will. Trust me. Some friends and I have done a few podcasts, and we went in with the idea of almost no editing...never works out that way. lol is pretty easy to use after a little practice. Also, you'll want to run the audio through [url=http://www.conversationsnetwork.org/levelator]Levelator...it brings up the overall sound level of spoken word conversation. Both are free. :)

Yeah I plan on giving a week or two of notice.
Hmm. I'll trust your judgment...if that's the case I'd rather someone else took on editing duties as I'm pretty busy.
I use Audacity, thanks for Levelator suggestion.
a lot of radio shows do this and no podcasts that I've heard do it.. they have music playing in the background.. it'd be cool if we could have music going in the background while we talk...
quick question..... maybe i've been away from the real world too long lol or something... What exactly is a gogcast? Er pod cast ?

I'd find that tremendously annoying and distracting. I've heard one and that's what happened..remember also many people will be listening to music or playing a game or whatever already while listening. I would be open to music breaks though..could be cool.

Kind of like a talk radio show. We call each other up and chat about games and certain topics and whatnot and record it and post it online.

It all depends on how structured the podcast is going to be. The more 'segments' you go in to this with somewhat preplanned, the fewer chunks of audio consisting of silence and a lot of 'umm' and 'uhhh' there will be to cut out after. You don't want to plan it so much that everything sounds forced, but a little structure is a good idea.

Relatively structured. I'm thinking three or four segments with the option to diverge a bit on each -- no more than five or ten minutes roughly. Not too rigid but not too loose. Wrap it up in about an hour.
I must be terrible, I like 2-3 hour long podcasts..
I never get around to listening to podcasts, I always put them on and then within 10 minutes I've gotten distracted and stop paying attention

I think there is a place for both long and short podcast. Podcasts about 1 topic are best being under 30 mins, however ones that cover a lot of things are better over an hour. I used to enjoy the CustomPC podcast until they merged with Bit-Tech.

This is a good idea. Maybe just use soundtracks from various games? Note that it would have to be VERY low however.
