You really just need headphones and a mic. The quality is surprisingly not that important. Skype tends to make everything sound rubbish anyway.

What about the microphone attached to my laptop screen? Or maybe I should use the one attached to my Microsoft LifeCam.

The thing is, this Saturday is Homecoming for my university, so I'll probably be busy. But if you're doing one next Saturday, I can most likely make it.

I just use a mic on my cam and it's fine. In fact I prefer microphones being away from the face as it cuts down on the noises you don't want to hear like breathing and nose picking.
