Please talk about the games! Apologize of course if thats the original intention...not gonna read the whole thread.
So many dedicated "retro" podcasts balancing out the hundreds about new games, but no exclusive discussions about these PC titles from 8-20 years ago.... "retro" casts that are out now discuss the same 8/16/32 bit glory days. Podcasts on the web tagging the games offered here are merely references in comparisons to new games...not about actually playing them! Please don't misinterpret this comment for a desire to hear a commercial... but would love to listen to something like....if the user reviews on this site could talk to one another, LOL

Just read the first post.
There will be a section each show dedicated to GOG news, releases, which we've been playing, etc.

Hey everyone! I have to admit that I'm following this thread for a while now and I'm really impressed. First of all I want to say thank you in the name of the whole GOG staff for such a great initiative. Huge thanks goes to chautemoc (thanks for the podcast idea and all other stuff you're doing for/with us :))!
I'm really waiting for the first show (hope this time everything goes ok and it won't be postponed). Can't promise anything, but if it goes well we'll make sure to promote it on GOG.com and via Twitter and Facebook - just need to know if the show fulfills our high standards ;)
Keep up the good work and I'm waiting impatiently for the first episode!

I only skimmed your post but I get the gist that you're volunteering for an interview of some sort...

I'm the closest you get.
Alright, I've come up with a bunch of ideas. If nobody adds any I'll just pick some and expect you to be prepared. :P Feedback on what we should/shouldnt use is welcome of course. Anything we don't use here could be put in a future episode.
E3 - this E3 vs previous years, 3DS, games we're looking forward to/were dissapointed in/wanted to see but didn't, etc.
Kinect, Move, etc. -- gaming without controllers, ridiculous/awesome?
3D gaming -- similar stuff: ridiculous/awesome?
DRM/piracy - Why you do, don't or did pirate, GOGs effect on your pirating/non-pirating
Gaming journalism - what you like and dislike, reviews -- why do you or don't read, scores -- why you like or don't like
Bungie signing to Activision for 10 year deal
Call of Duty subscriptions (Activision recently said they want them asap)
Microsoft's return to PC (Fable 3 + a leaked memo indicates they've got more plans)
Games we're playing/looking forward to - Fallout Online, 3DS updates, Bad Company 2, Amnesia, etc.
Latest GOG news/releases -- Freedom Force, E3 stuff (GOG implied we'll see new publisher soon, speculation), evolution of GOG/Question Time/console games, etc.
I figure we'll stick to gaming for the first show at least. But if anybody has any non-gaming topics you think would be fine, please suggest.

Are we going to have like an introduction period where we talk a little bit about ourselves?

My iron-fist will make this so.
With that said, I say we cut out everything non-GOG related. So, for the topics that chautemoc listed, the ones I'd consider suitable for the GOGCast would be these:
DRM/Piracy
Latest GOG news/releases
Games we're playing
The GOGCast shouldn't be an all-encompassing topic show. It's a podcast about GOG. We could probably interweave the other topics into the discussion, but as a focus in the show, I'd hesitate to include those.
Plus, to be spotlighted by GOG, GOG has to be the focus. Not the gaming scene in general.

I don't agree with that. Focusing squarely on GOG will make us all look like fanboys, will become quite boring over time (variety is the spice of life etc), and will ultimately neglect the fact that being a gamer isn't always about hardcore dedication to a particular niche, but an all encompassing love for gaming.

I don't think vag means that we should stick to GOG topics as rigidly as that. The problem is that this is the GOG podcast--it IS topical. If we branch out, we should still be talking mostly about old games, or digital distribution. It's not our place to comment on the entire industry, although as Vag said that will certainly factor in to the discussion by nature. People will go to other podcasts that cover that (much better than we could certainly) if they want to, they'll listen to the GOGcast for GOG-related info.
That said, I think we should go for short and sweet. Not super short, but if stuff starts to drag even slightly then we just push on to the next subject until we run out and end it on a good note. It's not like we have a huge body of subjects to talk about.
EDIT: Oh, and how vulgar can we be:
