Titanium: Hah! (egg) Yoke's on you. I am in cohorts with a superior limb-protection scheme. The so-called always on-line Drop Regiment Maneuver. Mercenaries are on an actual line above my head, and jump down when a certain level of broadsword is detected. Unfortunately, it can be circumvented with a tramp-o-line.
Curses, foil(helmet)ed again! I'll have to hire a pickpocket to lift your keys, thereby locking you out of your own protection scheme!

And I wish I had known about this tramp-o-line earlier. I'd have been better off trading my magic cow for a line-o-tramps, or even just one of them. It gets lonely just polishing your sword.

By pirating gog games you work against everything they stand for. They've also said that pirates are their competitors - so please pick gog before torrents :)

Wow, that derailed into a completely different multiverse... But i guess its better that way, i just realized how dumb my topic is. It makes me look like a arrogant, self loving retard... Is there a way to kill it off? Aaaand is that the only page of that comic?

Soccorro: Hi,

Doesn't make that DRM-free thing torrenting Gog games legal? I mean is it possible to share the games with others or is every game bound to just one customer by any terms? And NO I'm not going to download Gog.com games via Torrent.
It doesn't make it legal. I think you need to revisit the definition.

Here's the thing. GOG trusts its customers to make the moral choice to not pirate. It's a conscious policy of treating customers as honest. You repay that trust when you buy games here instead of pirating. Working together for mutual benefit instead of relying on force is how civilized people behave.

So GOG isn't going to spend time or energy on DRM schemes to try and control their customer's behavior. Those don't work, and GOG has better things to do. If someone can't stand the thought of buying games legally, then there's no technical measure to prevent the installers from being torrented. GOG relies on the same social contract that we all rely on through out life, that says "We're all people here together, and we're not going to all stab each other in the grocery aisles, we're going to basically get on with our lives."

Eh, don't feel too bad. This is not the stupidest question we've had around here by any means. :)

FYI, the Argonian Maid is a reference to a character in Elder Scrolls: Morrowind who hit on everyone. Literally everyone - they'd forgotten to make his dialogue gender-specific before the game released. He'd written a play with the Argonian maid, and you get quoted some dialogue if I'm remembering correctly.

I'm afraid not, you just have to live with the topic now. However you shouldn't let this slightly heavy handed entry into GOG discourage you. A number of people have joined this site because they were pirating, and were referred to GOG by comments in the pirated torrent.

I think you've got the gist of the argument by now, so now it's time to tool up and get gaming with some legal highs. Hopefully people will honour your wish and let this one fade away.
Pirates gonna pirate, potatoes gonna potatoe.

Just another question... is grim fandango really that good? i always thought people just praise that game too much.

You're asking a really biased man, but yes. It is one of the most poetic and intricate games you'll ever find. There's wit, there's invention, and there's fun. Some puzzles are too hard, fair enough, but anyone who's played through the whole thing will swear that it is a classic, and in my opinion - the best game made to this day.

So I ask you a favour. Do not torrent it. Stand in vigil with the rest of the Grim Avatars club and await the day it comes to GOG - for it will come.

Wow...I think i'll vote for it and buy it when Gog.com releases it...
You can't blame the man(?) from asking the question. You can castrate the man for taking action.

To clarify - it's a perfectly reasonable thing to ask. If you actually do it though, we'll cut your balls off.
