Did they never give an update for OF

They did, in very much the same vein.

Smannesman: Well, I can understand immediately taking down the game if it's a legal/license battle.
Waiting a day might tick them off, but posting a message when taking it down (or just after) would be very nice.
Yeah, we usually have to take down an item from our catalog fairly promptly when asked. So a quick notice that we're *going* to do so is not practicable. That said, I'll be sure to mention y'all's comments to the team--if we ever have to take down a game again.

DrIstvaan: ...or of experience-taught caution, hmm? :-)
I can agree that in the great hubbub of GOG's community, it's very easy for us to miss out on something that's been said. Part of my duties as the new PR & marketing guy involves trying to be a little more visible, so I hope I'll be able to answer questions for you guys when they pop up. That said, there are plenty of things that we can't talk about, so the delay on answers may sometimes be longer than you'd like while I wait to hear back from a responsible party.

Wishbone: You were very good at this in the beginning, but somewhere along the way, it seems to have ceased being a priority. I wish you would make it one again.
My new arrival here as marketing and PR guy is for many purposes. Fostering continued and improved community relations are part of that. Hopefully GOG will astound and amaze in 2011--in a good way.

And apologies to SLP2000 whose post I downvoted by accident when clicking on the window behind the pop-up in which one composes a message. I *think* my immediate upvote should nullify any bad rep that accrued from my fumble-fingered click.

As a side note, the lack of a good second person plural pronoun in English vexes me again. (Y'all? Youse guys?) For a language with so many words, it's silly English doesn't have that one.

No worries, I never understood the idea that stands behind "rep", "post count" or similar.

But like Lexor said in another thread - we are not able to get every interesting game at once, and we would like to feel comfortable with the thought that we may safely buy our games next month or even later.

I can imagine the situation that GOG is taking of Planescape Torment or Fallout without previous announcement - I think we would hunt you down and rip your hearts out for this. Seriously. ;)

If we delisted one of those games without forenotice, we'd already be heartless. :P

That's why my priority is to buy "all less known gems" first, and let "big hits" like Planescape or Fallout still be on my wishlist for the next few... hmm... months?

But yes, I will not know what to do when P:T or Fallout leave GOG without any notice and before I buy them.. SLP2000 has presented one of ideas I could go for.

You're in Poland, too. Crap!

Yes, so beware... ^^

Yeah, we'll make a GOGs Pursuit Group Polish Division. Beware.

Btw, i'm looking through the forums just to check what games were in GOGs catalogue, and I notices there's forum for Gothic series and separate forum for Gothic 2 gold edition. Shouldn't those two be merged into one forum?

Games which were removed are:
-Toca Race Driver 3
-Colin McRae Rally 2005
-Operation Flashpoint
-ObsCure
-Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising

Is that it?
I'm sure there's no chance to bring back TOca and Colin, but I do hope we'll get ObsCure and Operation Flashpoint, as well as Hostile Waters.

I'm pretty sure that if they remove Planescape or Fallout they gonna meet with the wrath of the World Pursuit Group.
