It probably has missed most peoples attention but Steam has FINALLY let users put custom grid-icons on. This is of course a great way for me to start adding (almost) every GOG game that I own, into the steam client and not feel like ive made the grid-view look like garbage :)

Some sites/links/forum areas where you can get heaploads of them.

an Imgur folder full of icons collected from various places: http://imgur.com/a/s8T2h#156
Neogaf.com thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=477211
Overclock.net thread: http://www.overclock.net/t/1267218/custom-steam-grid-view-banners-icons
Steam thread: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2737170

Theres still a bunch I would love to have icons for XP Unfortunatly im really awful at putting together even the simplest thing art-wise XD heh...

Another piece of help

http://cdn.steampowered.com/v/gfx/apps/INSERTNUMBERHERE/header.jpg

where the obvious 'Insert number here' is where you put your game-tag (if its a game thats already on steam)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/3720/

This is Evil Genius as an example. To get the icon for this game simply copy the number you see, then past it where the INSERTNUMBERHERE thing is and voila! A nice shiny gameicon to use easily.

Thanks. No longer shall the Rainbow Six: Athena Sword icon be a blight upon the Steam landscape.

No Problem XD Ive kinda gone a bit icon-crazy so ive wound up adding a ridiculous amount of games and applications onto steam XP Oh wells...
I'd do this, but having all of my games use these would probably balloon Steam's RAM usage to 2 GB. :p
Thank you very much! This is really useful.
Thanks for this! I've been waiting to update my images for a while and now my dreams have come true :)
Couldn't find these 2 so I made them

I had found one for the Savage Empire before (Cant remember where) but Martian Dreams I hadnt found. Thanks!
Though it would help more if I knew how to apply DOSBOX to Steam XP heh...

Create a short cut to Dosbox in steam, then right click on it and change the properties of the Target. (also the Name to make it unique)

For martian dreams: "C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Martian Dreams\DOSBOX\DOSBox.exe" -conf dosboxMARTIAN.conf
and change the start in one to point to "C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Martian Dreams\" (or where ever your gog games is installed.

This would apply for all (or almost all) DOSbox based games right? :) Thank you ever so much :D
Now all I need is to find one for Torins Passage XD

This didn't work for me, at first I just tried copying the target from the desktop shortcut that the gog installer makes. Then I tried doing it exactly as you describe here. The first time it just flashed up, without staying open. The second time it just loaded DosBox with out running the game. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Something new, now it seems like it's trying really hard to run, it brings up a black screen and changes my resolution. Nothing more.
