UPDATE: Response from GOG Support says there is no technical way of hiding the sender of the gifts, so I'm afraid it'll be a Not So Secret Santa this year!

When they can't hide it, maybe they can change it? :)

"Wishing Well" has not been seen for such a long time ;)

Not since Costume Quest, though I didn't think to check which user gave that gift code.

The advice they gave me was to create an alternative account to buy the gifts with, but since quite a few people have already purchased the gifts, it's a little too late for now.

It's probably not such a big deal anyway. We'l probably see a higher volume of 'thank-you' posts this year! :)
I just hope people don't feel like they have to gift a little more because the receiver will know who it was.
*shrug* I don't mind if the person knows who he/she's gotten the gift from. The real point of a Secret Santa exchange to me is not exactly knowing what you're getting.

VIPERs: How did you guys decide which game/s to choose from your receivers list?
My goal was to go with the good OLD games, so I disregarded the newer ones when deciding.
I just chose games I enjoyed playing. That meant spending a little more money than I originally planned on, but it was probably worth it.
I guess we'll get to experience the Hispanic Secret Santa this year then :)
Gift sent!

I chose games that I felt were pretty darn good or since there are so many sales, I bought the most bang for the buck for my person. Obviously if they put them on there list, then any of the games they would want, but I also made sure to get them the most for the value and give them plenty hours of fun.

Bought my giftee four games total. 'Tis the season of giving, after all. ;) Three of them I know from my own experience are very good, and the fourth is very highly regarded so I doubt I messed up there. In addition I tried going for a different genre for each as not to make everything feel samey: an action-adventure, a point'n'click adventure, an FPS, and an RTS.

My choice was simple! There was a bundle where every game was on their wishlist! Since the bundle had games that I would enjoy, I gifted him 1 entire bundle of games. The bundles made my Secret Santa shopping easy this year.

Just want to say thanks again to nmillar for organizing and coordinating, as well as being so patient and understanding.
Can I still participate?
