Tarun: Don't know about the list... but I would definitely like to chip in with a game or two..

Excellent work by the way :)
Another Special Case? :)

I've put you in with Ian.

Licurg: 2 questions:

1.If you want to gift more than 1 person, how do you do that?
2.If i want to give someone a specific game, can you send a list with that specific game? Or is it random?
avatar
nmillar: 1. That's not how Secret Santa works - the idea is that everyone who participates gifts one or more games to one other participant. In real life, this would normally be drawn out of a hat, but we'll be using trusty old random.org to help us out here.

2. You kind of answered your own question - it is completely random, but if you want to gift a specific game (I'm hazarding a guess at Sacrifice here) in addition to the main event, then I can easily give you a list of participants who have that game (Sacrifice?) on their wishlists.

EDIT: Wikipedia article for anyone who's interested in learning more about Secret Santa.
Wow random.org is Irish sorry for wasting time but I'm just amazed, not much famous stuff comes out of this country
Besides Guiness

Thanks nmillar... I have a question

Should the gift sent be the gift email sent by GOG.com or is it ok to send the game keys to the provided email, with the winners name of-course?

If you just want to send out a couple of gifts, you have the choice of sending it directly yourself, or xyem can send it through the gogsecretsanta address.
Oi, I am also in.

Sorry for the misunderstanding... I was just thinking of a scenario where i already have a code for one of the games that the winner wishes to have...

Edit: In that case I will just put the code in GOG.com's Optional: Note for recipient.. Haven't used that before but i think it should work

Everyone's a winner here. :)

PCGameGuy: I always hope the list has one of my favorites, since I love getting more people playing stuff I like! :)

Leroux: I wonder if it might be more fun for me to list a few games I'm curious about without really knowing what to expect and keep any "must haves" of it. That way I could still buy the games I really want early during the sale, and the Secret Santa event would be more of a surprise. Because I just know if I'd put certain titles like, e.g Arcanum or HoMM3 on the list, I'd be very likely to get exactly these, due to their cult following and people thinking like you. ;) And that would be kind of boring IMO.
That is why I use my wiki page, if I buy it beforehand I just update it off the wishlist before it gets picked. Even with major appeal I try to pick favorites that are not everyone's favorites, so unless it is a short list I usually don't go for the ones you think of first. :)

Great idea, and would appreciate being added to the list as a "Special Case," as well.

Thanks!

It's hard to tell with some nicks, but I have the impression that there is not even one female participant. We are going to lack the feminine touch. All the presents are going to arrive all sweaty and hairy and covered with beer.

Was going to jump in even before I read this, but there, that makes at least one feminine participant.
