1. Sega Dreamcast
2. Sega Megadrive
3. Nintendo 64
I still remember the fun times I had on those when I was a kid.
1. Arcade
There are soooo many arcade games that have hardly been played just because they've been restricted to arcades. I think it'd be sweet to have the X-Men arcade game & the Simpsons (arcade game)!
2. Sega Genesis
Super Nintendo is a hair behind, but overall Genesis has a few stand-out games that I haven't been able to track down or that would benefit from being able to skip to a level. Top choices: Streets of Rage 3, Road Rash (1,2, or 3! any of them), Vectorman 2

3. Nintendo 64
First-person shooters anyone? The only reason I'm picking this is because I fell in love with the game Perfect Dark. Back in the day, I used to play this for hours (against my friends), so unless it had online multiplayer, I'd imagine it wouldn't be much fun.

Salsa_Shark: 1. SNES
2. Amiga
I don't know what most of the other choices are like aside from the N64 which i own.

If Amiga has fun games, then tell me which ones they are. So far I haven't seen anyone list an Amiga game they like. I'm not taking this out on you, lol, it's just -of those that have Amiga as a choice- you just look like you would know.

How about Zool, or the Shadow of the Beast trilogy. The Lemmings series was awesome. Pretty much all the old Psygnosis games. BreathingMeat mentions Moonstone, which is awesome if you can find it. I suggest looking up it's many death scenes on the fansite I cannot remember the name of. Cannon Fodder and Lost Patrol are great if you like the Vietnam sims. The Chaos Engine is another classic. Another World was developed on an Amiga 500. Scorched Tanks, a precursor to Worms, is cool. Remember the insanely hard NES game Shadowgate? Ported from the Amiga (I tell a lie. It was released first on the Apple IIGS. BUT the fact remains that the NES port was released TWO YEARS later.) Simon the Sorcerer left a mighty mark on my memory. You know the guys who made the Rogue Squadron trilogy? Their studio made the Turrican trilogy on the Amiga. Hell, the Amiga had it's own LoZ analog, called The Speris Legacy. The Test Drive franchise had it's start on the Amiga. If you can find it, look for a game called Metal Masters. It's basically a fighting game with customizable robots, with cash prizes after matches and part shops and high repair cost. I should also mention that Jay Miner himself insisted that the machine launched with at least one flight sim, which of course led to a cornucopia of flight sims, and eventually, tank sims.
Basically, Mr.Red, we need not mention any good games for the Amiga. They were all good. Except that sequel to Strider from U.S. Gold. That was bad.
1. Amiga
2. Commodore 64
3. Arcade
There just hasn't been any way to really get Amiga games, and there are some real interesting gems in that library. Kinda sorta the same with Commodore 64. They also fit more with the PC games I think. Arcade games wouldn't be half bad either.

Thanks to everyone who took part in our small poll. We have to say that your reaction to the question was quite impressive. Once again thanks a lot!
Id say...
1 - C-64
2 - Amiga
3 - Arcade
This all assumes these are usable on a PC, since my old machines died a looong time ago.
1) Sega Dreamcast
2) Neogeo
3) Amiga
1)Sega Dreamcast
2)Super Nintendo
3)Nintendo 64
1. Super Nintendo
2. Sega Dreamcast (ideally, this would be PS1)
3. Nintendo 64
Mainly interested in role playing games, especially JRPGs and TRPGs.
In order:
Super Nintendo
N64
Sega Dreamcast

Bluekkis: I'm kinda surprised that Dreamcast is on top. Would have expected SNES there. DC has several good titles, no doubt about that but the library is rather small compared to others. I guess the early death of the platform has created bigger nostalgia value for it that usual.
Then again, only reason I didn't vote for DC was my own DC console and library of games that I've bought second hand past few years. :P

Well, I'm a bit surprised Amiga is not on top. Perhaps it is because the Amiga was not all that famous in the US.
In my opinion, the Amiga is the better choice, due to:
1. ...it's excellent library of games.
2. ...it being a computer. I am a little bit concerned about how well console titles will play with a mouse/keyboard combination.
That said, I would like to try Shenmue. I think it would be better as a downloadable title for the PSN, though.
