Awesome! Thanks for the work barefoot. I will try it out.
I can't load the page, but A for effort!
Yeah it won't load for me either. Awesome work for the community though, dude ;)
Just got in, but only dust in my mailbox. Q.Q

EDIT: It may have helped if I had sent more than 2 PMs, though. :D

2nd EDIT: I'm happy to report the system works!

Same here, its doing the same thing it was doing last night. It doesn't 404 or time out, it just doesn't load.

EDIT - And now its working...

EDIT 2 - Hey Barefoot, in addition to the delete function, how about implementing the traditional inbox/outbox/sent items structure of most PM systems? I just realized I have no way of seeing who I have sent messages to and it would be nice to see that, if only so I can remember the things I've said while drunk PMing.

yep
The site does load for me but each time I make the password, the same each time and then try to log in it tells me that my password is different than what is on file. :(
This is interesting, but how on Earth are we going to know who we can PM? I mean it's not like we can put a link in a sig.
Presumably, you're not going to PM many people just on a whim, so I'd imagine you'd verify with that person beforehand whether they have an account or not.

As Barefoot said, you can send a PM to anyone, even if they haven't joined the system yet. It will tell you if the username you are trying to send to is not currently part of the system and will still store the message until that person does join up.

Not terribly convenient, but that's probably the best solution barring GoG implementing either sigs or a PM solution. Although it seems a bit easier to just type their name into the PM site and see if anything shows up.

EDIT: Thanks guys, I was mostly wondering if there was an easier way than what I was thinking of. Personally most of my PMs in the past have been semi random.

I suppose, we could also abuse the From: line to tell folks who's aviable for PM. Perhaps I'll be "From: The Republic of PM"

EDIT: I'm using my title for that one.

I wonder if the GOG staff would be willing to participate in this? They'd probably have to set some ground rules, like no support requests or nagging for inside info, but it might be cool to "shoot the shit" with them once in a while.

Another suggestion for Barefoot: add the ability to block users. Any PM systems has the potential to be abused by griefers and the easiest way to deal with them is to simply block them from contacting you.
