LiquidOxygen80: Ultimate Body Blows, but in my defense, the nostalgia was the main reason. BB was out before there was a viable SF2 copy for PC that I could afford, so I played a LOT of crappy fighting games back in the day, including Brudal Baddle, Pray for Death, Rise of the Robots, Sango Fighter, right on down the line. Actually, I think crappy fighting games might be my guilty pleasure. I had FX Fighter as well. X_X
The only fighting game that I ever spent a noticable amout of time with was One Must Fall 2097. I'd love to see this on GOG.

skeletonbow: I notice people are posting their lowest non-GOG games also... but how do you determine the best-selling status of non-GOG games?
avatar
hucklebarry: I based everything on how it was ranked by GOG. (others may be doing it differently)
Same here. I know it skews things but I do find it interesting how the games I own on non-GOG sites are placed here as well.
GOG's horrible web design doesn't really lend itself to this kind of thing, but I'll play.

The first few "worst sellers" are disqualified. Edna & Harvey: The Breakout is languishing there because Daedalic had the brilliant idea to split there reasonably priced bundle into two horribly overpriced games. Risen 2 is there because it's competing with itself--everyone (including me) bought the Risen 2 + DLC version. Bad Mojo came out today.

That leaves Escape Goat 2, a great game that I'm sorry to see struggling, Journey of a Roach, which I haven't played yet, Sudeki, which I also haven't played yet, but which is interesting because I remember that the release thread for that was really positive--that didn't translate into sales, apparently. Then Edna and Harvey again--I'm amazed that one of them made it that high up the list--and Sherlock Holmes and the Silver Earring, a boring pixel hunt game that is doing as poorly as it deserves.

For me it's just unusable, after a while I can see duplicate entries...
The lowest above the freebies for me is Kingdom: The Far Reaches (I got this from the Interplay bundle).

Next one above that is Pegasus Prime!
It's a three way tie between Deus Ex,System Shock 2 and Planescape Torment.

At 9th from the bottom of the non-free games, it's Depths of Peril for me, and not counting Risen 2 on account of owning the higher placed Gold Edition. I hope the low sales doesn't stop Soldak from releasing their other games here, though.

I imagine the low sales for Risen are due to a recent bundle. Hopefully they will improve over time. Haven't tried them yet, but they look like fun.
The 10 worst-sellers that I own are:
Shadowrun Returns
Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut
Downfall
Dracula Trilogy
Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender
Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack
Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games
Ittle Dew
Giana Sisters: Rise of the Owlverlord
Realms of Arkania 3

I kind of got burned on the Saint Patrick's Day Pot of Gold sale before I figured out how to know what I'd get!

From what I remember, the sales of vanilla Risen 2 weren't the best even on its release. GOG customers prefer the complete deal, even if it costs them more money.

Moebius: Empire Rising, which is not surprising considering it's a recent release and the bad reviews it receive, I had a mix feeling about this game, you could read it here.
Ok i think i have reached the bottom of the bestselling list ? Not sure with that weird website. And there are some brilliant, brilliant titles down there. Why ?

Silent Hunter 2 and Call to Power are great. Gabe Knight 2 is supposedly a classic, so is Descent 3 (though not on my owned or even wished list as I personally prefer "open space" sims). And Sanitarium ? What's wrong with Sanitarium, it's a top notch adventure game !

Are these truly the least sold games on GOG, or is there something wrong with my page ?

I think you've got a little bit further to go. The free games should be at the bottom of the list.

Had trouble loading the whole list after a few scroll downs but I think mine is American McGee's Grimm.
I picked it up during the Insomnia sale, mostly because
1) I love "fractured fairy tale" kind of stuff
2) I loved American McGee's Alice
3) It was cheap.

Kinda wish I would have read the reviews first...it's not really much of a game, very little challenge, and I thought "turning the stories darker" would mean darker in a, well, macabre sense, not in a "running around pissing on everything" sense. Just wasn't what I expected and I was kind of let down.

But since disappointment probably wasn't the point of this thread! Another low ranker for me was Creatures Village. And that one really is a little gem. My daughter (age 7 when she started playing it) LOVES it. Definitely geared for kids, but that doesn't make it less of a game. Taking care of and playing with the norns, learning about the life cycle, and bright simple graphics make this one a great find for the elementary school crowd. Wait for it to go on sale and it's even more of a value. :)

Seems like your page is all sorts of whacked. It even has Sanitarium twice. I have attached below Sanitarium's true selling power. It's quite large, actually.
