The "Pay What You Want" can be purchased from GOG.com starting now until 01:00 AM GMT on the 18th of October, 2012.

Set your own fair price for the classic Divine Divinity, where you become the chosen one, destined to fulfil an ancient prophecy and save the Seven Races of Rivellon. In this extensive, challenging, and very addictive game you will encounter many different enemies and a great variety of items, NPCs, and quests.

The top 10% of our most generous users will also grant themselves an early access to the upcoming Divinity 2: Developer's Cut.The Developer's Cut, which is the ultimate edition of the game, comes with Divinity II and the expansion Divinity II: Flames of Vengeance, as well as a special developer's mode and extra goodies, will be available on PC on the 18th of October, 2012, but if you buy it here you will get to play it a day earlier than everyone else! The "Director's Cut" subtitle also means, that you'll have the unique opportunity to experience the game just as the developers did: with optional access to developer console you'll feel like the god of the realm.

But that's not all! All of the games come with an extensive amount of goodies--especially Divinity 2: Developer's Cut features a crazy amount of bonus materials (all of which you can access as soon as you finalize your purchase). To make things even more interesting, Larian Games told us that as the sales progress, they will be releasing some very special announcements and interesting videos. Heard enough? I have to echo rlong99's sentiments here. I've bought 300+ games here, and this sale didn't motivate me to open my wallet.

Disincentive 1: The sale algorithm would have forced me to re-purchase DD/BD in order to purchase DD2.

Disincentive 2: After the first hour or two, any chance of getting DD2 at 50% off (or better) disappeared. (50% off is my "instabuy" threshold.)

I'm eyeing the Christmas sale now as a solution.
Anyone downloaded yet? It looks great so far! Looks nice and polished.

Not yet - keep getting an error message when trying to add it to the downloader.. =/

Try downloading manually. Turn the downloader off.

If it were smaller, I'd done that hours ago, but I'm not too keen on dl'ing 3x2GB without resume possibilities - prefer to wait a bit and see if it sorts itself out. Not that I'll have the time to play it until the weekend anyway. (Perhaps downloading it from work - got a 50Mbit connection there)

It will. Someone from GOG posted in a topic in the Divinity forum that way the downloader is set up it can not get the game before the official release tomorrow. If you want to get it early, you have to go through a browser.

L0stOldGamer: If we had a cart, I would put plenty of DD in it to check out for gift codes to give to random people. As it is now, my CC would freak with so many small purchases... I'm in for a bundle to help the count!
That's on reason why I've always preferred the way GamersGate does their gifting than the way GOG does theirs. You can buy everything together on GG, and then gift it separately. With GOG it's one bundle -- which is just stupid, IMO.

I'm like you. I can only do around 2 individual gift purchases of the same amount and at the same time. After two, PayPal shuts down my account for 'unusual activity'.

I'll bet GOG loses quite a few purchases because of the way they have the gifting process set up. Which is a shame.

Thanks for the reply - Friday evening is soon enough for me so I think I'll just wait =)

(The above is the sensible answer; the temptation may prove to be more than I can handle, so I'm not planning on any activities at work on Friday that requires a brain that's actually gotten any sleep...)

How is that a bad thing? If you already have them, give them to a friend. Granted, it's too late now, but how you saw that as a downside is still beyond any logic.

Ack the page has gone already. Where can we see the video that was unlocked at 20,000?
cant seem to dl D2 DC using the downloader

This is a problem everyone is having; downloading it manually seems to work fine though. I'm guessing the downloader probably won't work until the game is actually released... Which shouldn't be much longer.
