Honestly, if GOG banned you for saying the gods-damned truth, that'd show they're not nearly as open or friendly as they claim to be. If they truly want to hear what we have to say and take the criticisms on board, that'd be awesome.

Worse case scenario, a buncha users bitch and down-rep you, while GOG feigns ignorance to the whole thing. I'd like to think GOG, and its users, are better people than that, though.

Wholeheartedly agree.
here is what would have turned this into a win like a motherfucker:

Pay What You Want with just the Developers cut for any price.

beat the average price and get a digital version of the Divinity Anthology.

top 10% gets you a preorder for Dragon Commander.

now that I would pay out my ass for ...

bevinator: if you get any non-Steam DD version it's DRM-free without even needing any patches or anything. You won't get the extra goodies elsewhere, though.
The Steam version of DD is DRM free, as well.

Steam and DRM free... the irony. =p

Yeah, I was kinda kidding with the "don't ban me" - I haven't ever seen GOG react in a bad way to criticism. But I really hope whoever from the staff reads my criticism understands that I'm genuinely concerned, not just angry for stupid reasons. And I really hope they will change the "pay what you want" system before using it again.

........ you do know the definition of third party, right?

And Larian released a completely DRM free patch that works with the Steam version.

I think he actually means DRM free. Some Steam releases don't require Steam to run. Once you've downloaded them you can turn off Steam or even move the game files to another computer where Steam isn't installed.
So I'm a little confused about Divinity II... From what I gather, there are 2 versions of it - Ego Draconis and the remastered "Dragon Knight Saga". Which of these does the Divnity II Developer's Cut come with?

Something on top of one's own, like Securom on top of steam's own DRM which would make Securom the third party. If the steam version can indeed be detached from the client, which i wouldn't know, i'll just admit to have assumed something i shouldn't have in which case i won't object to the DRM free label even though it isn't.

DKS

Ergo Dracous was the base game, then they came out with an expansion pack "the Flames of vengeance" ... then they changed publishers and released the Dragon Knight Saga which was Ergo Draconus + Flames of vengance + a patch that updated Ergo Dracouns part of the game to include the engine improvements that they developed while building the expansion pack.
Your point ?
