Bavarian: Just because I had to work this afternoon I'm drawing a shorter straw?

F4LL0UT: That's exactly how I feel. I always liked how GOG treats every user the same. This one time it's not the case. Usually I check on GOG exactly at noon to see what's new, today I happened to sleep until evening because of an intense night of hard work and now I'm actually being punished for that. It sucks.
This is my case too. If I knew I would go to work :)

taylor12702003: I purchased all three around noon today . It cost me 20.99. An hour and a half later the cost is lower. I guess I should have waited an hour. Maybe it will drop more this evening. This is not a good way to make your customers happy.
Exactly. I know, the "average price" thingy is supposed to keep the people from paying $1 for content that's basically worth more than $30 but in this case it's so extreme that the whole "pay what you want" model is broken (except for philanthropists who are willing to pay hundreds of bucks for no reason). I would be happier if this promo rewarded the collaborative effort and gave everyone some benefits. This would still encourage people to pay more but not punish anyone. It's cool that someone paid $1000 (as long as it's not one of the devs who just wanted to raise the average ;P) but with the current model he not only supported the devs but hurt all other users. That's just wrong.

Thiev: Language packs will be added when we update our versions of DD/BD, hopefully sometime tomorrow.
When you update DD/BD to High-res versions, are the original versions still going to be available to download? Will the Hi-res versions have different system requirements?

What exactly goes into the "High-res" versions? Is it no more than exposing in game options the resolution switch functionality which used to be only in the .ini file? Or are graphics actually updated?

Alquist: I'm a regular, actually. I intended to pay anonymously but then realized there are clones of notable generous people running around, and I didn't want any of them to take credit for it. Solution: sockpuppetry.

kodeen: Xyem, unfortunately you're not the same without your cat. We love your cat.
The annoying thing is if I say it isn't me, no-one will believe me. Argh!

That's what I'd like to know. If it's an actual graphics update I'd expect the system requirements would change.
Dont like this promo one bit, already have divine and beyond so why would i have to buy them again to be able to buy D2?
I'm having a problem redeeming Divine Divinity gift, posted in general discussion but maybe some people here experienced similar problem

It's just that you can play at higher screen resolutions, the game graphics and the sistem requirements are the same.

I've no idea yet, to both questions. I can answer that tomorrow.
Just a modest proposal to the guys in blue:

You really should change the name of your promo to "Pay what you want for Divine Divinity (and then some more for the rest of the Divinity Anthology)".
avatar
Starmaker: Everyone who bought something in the promo gets the tech demo when the counter hits 30k.
Initially I thought I'd just get DII DC for $19.99 as I already have the other two here, but if that's the case I think I'll get the whole bundle (still going to pay at least $19.99 as that's what it's worth to me).

I really don't like this PWYW type of deal, though. DD is definitely worth much more than $0.01, DD + BD is probably worth at least the current $8.30 if you like RPGs at all, but BD alone isn't (the standard $5.99 is about right, IMO). The worst part, though, is the number of copies of DD bought extremely cheap that's going to devalue it, reducing this gem to a cheap bargaining chip. It'd be better if it were the other way around - BD being "thrown" at people for next to nothing, maybe making more people give the game a go (despite its poor reviews mostly based on how it compares to DD).
Hey guys,

disturbingly I'm not seeing any slider on the screen. More recent versions of Internet explorer don't support Windows XP so for some reason I'm forced to view the page in compatability mode and there's no slider visible. I can click and get a typing cursor next to the big button for payment so I suppose I could make a purchase that way.

Just thought I'd let you guys know that the page doesn't seem to be displaying correctly for internet explorer 8.

Sooo, we should back up the originals, just in case. Got it.

This sheds a little light on it, but not much: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/divine_divinity_series/divinity_anthology/post10 I'm hoping that maybe the fonts might scale up to make higher resolutions easier to read but otherwise it would have to at least be selecting all high resolutions in game with no need to tweak an ini file. This is only my guess.

edit: Should have added the quote:
"DD and BD will be updated. The 'remastering' consists of higher and widescreen resolution support and Vista/7 compatibility fixes. Due to an accident with the source code, the current download versions of DD contain a few bugs fixed in the disk version patch. The current GOG version of BD is the same as the patched disk version. Presumably both will be updated within the next week, or so; DD should have a couple skills fixed, etc, compared to the disk version, but neither have updated graphics or added game content.
