The top 10% of our most generous users will also grant themselves an early access to the upcoming Divinity 2: Developer's Cut.The Developer's Cut, which is the ultimate edition of the game, comes with Divinity II and the expansion Divinity II: Flames of Vengeance, as well as a special developer's mode and extra goodies, will be available on PC on the 18th of October, 2012, but if you buy it here you will get to play it a day earlier than everyone else! The "Director's Cut" subtitle also means, that you'll have the unique opportunity to experience the game just as the developers did: with optional access to developer console you'll feel like the god of the realm.

But that's not all! All of the games come with an extensive amount of goodies--especially Divinity 2: Developer's Cut features a crazy amount of bonus materials (all of which you can access as soon as you finalize your purchase). Protip: you can check the promo again in a few days when the thresholds are lower due to all the freegans. And there'll be quite a number of freegans (although less than with Fallout 1 which didn't require payment).

We'll also find out how high a barrier to entry GOG's available payment methods presents.

Menelkir: The idea of this promo is good, but the way it was excecuted tells me that someone wasn't thinking things through.

The "unlocks" tied to the number of bundles sold at the bottom right corner are wildly optimistic at this price too. Not even the first one (15000 units sold) has unlocked and at this rate maybe never will. Someone dropped the ball on this one. Dropped it hard. And it hit a Dragon in the head.
Totally agree, the price jump from 1 game to 2 or 3 is absurd:

DD -> you can pay as low as $0.01 fantastic price!!!
DD+BD -> Right now $8.32 you save a little (would cost $11.98 otherwise) very low savings
DD+BD+DII -> $18 what the hell... DII is $19.90, almost no money saved

Where did they drop the ball? There should be only "Pay what you want" (for DD) and "beat the average" (for all three games). Having another tier with such a weird requirement is what made this fail so hard.

Bought DD for 1 USD. Sorry, GOG and Larian Games, I already own the games and just wanted DMR free version of DD.

BTW I did not like BD but I liked Divinity 2.

I just came home from work, booted up my computer and imediately visited GOG.com, like I do every day. Saw the add on the frontpage, read the promo text and thought: "Wow, a new release, Anthology sale AND pay what you want? Awesome!"

Then I read something about $10 in the first few comments and thought: "Cool, that's worth it to me."

Then I opened the promo page and realized, that I have to pay $20 to get Divinity 2. Considering it's the only one of the three I'm interested in -mostly for backlogging!- that's not a good deal at all. In fact, I'm better off waiting for a sale on Divinity 2 and grab it then.

The greatest disappointment is, to see that the price went up so drastically within only a few hours. Just because I had to work this afternoon I'm drawing a shorter straw?

Maybe if surprisingly the price decreaces beyond $13 I'll pick it up. That would be like a regular 60% off on the Anthology and fine with me. But it's just not worth more to me, since I don't really want those games badly.

Shurely was good intended. Too bad it turned out this way.
Whats about the language of DD and BD? If i buy the retail Anthology i get localised versions.

Lexor: This. And somehow top price is going down too, step by step - how is it possible according to FAQ and promo rules?

Starmaker: As more and more people pay less than the top price, the "top 10% contributors" pool for the purpose of determining the average gets larger and encompasses more people. Suppose 90 people paid $10 and 10 people paid $100. The top price is $100, the average of what the top 10% of 100 total buyers paid.. Then 900 people paid $5. The new 10% is 100 people, and the top average is just $19.
Exactly, you cannot trick math..

2 @cinemaxgames $100.00
It's the developer of Inquisitor . :)

Language packs will be added when we update our versions of DD/BD, hopefully sometime tomorrow.
I really don't like this. The title of this whole initiative suggests that you can pay what you want for the Divinity Anthology but the only game you can pay what you want for here is Divine Divinity. For any other content you have to pay a certain (if changing) price. In my eyes this whole thing is highly misleading.

What confuses me though: so is there any content exclusive to the "anthology" or will I be able to get everything later on by buying the game separately? The thing that bothers me is the LMK Tech Demo (because from what I can tell unlike the other bonus content it's not part of any particular game's package). I really don't like content that is exclusive to the people who happen to have spare money at the right time (after all, that's why pre-order DLC is pure evil).

You should add the cost of DD+BD ($11.98) to that equation.

Everyone who bought something in the promo gets the tech demo when the counter hits 30k.

No, DD is 0.01, and BD is 5.99, for a total of 6.00. So D2 is currently $12 *if* you don't have, and want, BD.

That's exactly how I feel. I always liked how GOG treats every user the same. This one time it's not the case. Usually I check on GOG exactly at noon to see what's new, today I happened to sleep until evening because of an intense night of hard work and now I'm actually being punished for that. It sucks.

Cool, so I guess I will have to pay $1 out of protest.

I was honest-to-goodness-nearly-dead one Wednesday, and Anomaly went on gem promo. I got internet access the following morning, 20 minutes after the promo ended. Worst day ever, retroactively.

mobutu: I'm 100% sure that GOG versions of DD and BD will be updated to those in the Anthology pack, keeping the same retail price of $5.99 (Windows 7 remastered and supporting HD resolutions). Keep in mind that GOG doesn't sell the Anthology as a pack. But they sell all 3 games separately ... it's even better as this way you can buy whatever you want from the pack! And i'm pretty sure there will be promo sales with the whole Divinity universe. So it's quite all right, even better.
Thank you. I didn't see your response until after I editted my message just above yours. I didn't realize that you could buy them in this deal individually until you mentioned it.
I purchased all three around noon today . It cost me 20.99. An hour and a half later the cost is lower. I guess I should have waited an hour. Maybe it will drop more this evening. This is not a good way to make your customers happy.
