So I want to buy the first selection up (Arcanum) as a gift, AND I want to purchase a game or two from the weekend sale while I'm at it, but NOOOOOOO, I'm once again forced to make multiple transactions. And then, if I buy more from the insomnia sale, and use the same payment method, chances are the stupid built in fraud prevention algorithms will kick in and once again I'll get denied despite using a perfectly valid payment source.

Why do you insist on making your customers use multiple transactions so often??? I've brought it up regarding gifting multiple games, and now here, two sales going on simultaneously requires two different transactions. Shouldn't making things EASY on your customers be the goal?
Have you tried putting the games you want from the Weekend Sale into your cart first (each from their game-card) and pick Arcanum last?

MIght work - can't test it myself, when I click on "buy now" button for Arcanum, it redirects me to an empty check-out page.

Yes, I tried that.

I also tried going to the Arcanum game page, adding it to the cart with the other games already there, and still when I went to check out it insists on making it two separate transactions.

I skipped buying Betrayal at Krondor because of this. I couldn't figure out why it was opening a new cart, and ended up missing the sale trying to correct the "problem". Oh well.

There ya go gog, at least one lost sale because of this.

As I've said, the only reason it really bothers me (the tediousness of repeating keystrokes I can live with if I have to) is because credit card companies and PayPal use multiple purchases at the same site as "trigger" to fraudulent transactions, and then a perfectly legitimate payment method gets denied. It's happened to me several times, and this was the explanation I got from them.

I've decided when it happens this time, then I'm done buying here today. Oh well.
The same thing happened to me a week or so ago.

This is another reason why they should implement a wallet feature, so you can just put $x in your wallet using 1 PayPal transaction, and buy games directly from GOG with 1 click.

As for gifting, they should just add your purchases into a list on your account, with a "Redeem" button near them, and the code for gifting purposes.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnd, there you have it. Perfectly good card, but just got denied, most likely because I've bought about 16 games in the past half hour, all on separate purchases..

Enjoy the rest of the insomnia sale, one customer is over and out.
You wouldn't have those problems with fraud alerts if you just used somebody else's credit card.

never though about it , LOL ; but seriously that's a real problem ; and it's in GOG end ...
My thought exactly. The last insomnia screwed me when I was on travel. I purchased four games, my card got locked down, and then I had to use my emergency card to buy gas, hotel. and my bills that were due. Credit Card Fraud Protection is in the top ten of my biggest PITA.
I'm just waiting for this first round to be over and I'll look for the few games I want and purchase them with my emergency card until it gets locked down.

Yes, a wallet feature or a GOG gift card tied to my account would be ideal. This should be priority #2 behind getting new games here.

I'd say it's GOG's loss...

Twas the 20th game of the day that I tried to purchase that got denied...

Oh well, really, really, wanted Shelter, and Little Big Adventure 2, but.... as I said... GOG's loss.

While it would require either an already-existing account with Paypal, or planning ahead, you could consider loading up a Green Dot card (can buy those at Walgreens or CVS or Walmart of the like) and establishing a positive balance on a Paypal account. You can make as many purchases in a short time as you a) have funds for and b) can type quickly enough to accomplish.

It's not perfect, and GOG should fix their failure, but it's a workaround for now if you want.
Happened to me too during the last Insomnia Sale. My credit card was blocked for making too many purchases in one day.

Thank you for that, it's something definitely worth looking into, and I was unaware that PayPal treated positive balance transactions different from their other funding options. I will absolutely look into that.
