Not Return To Castle Wolfenstein, but the sequel which got cancelled, got released as a free multiplayer game named Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, if i recall correctly.

Don't you know? GOG are sitting there thinking "fuck, there's no publishers left!" They don't realize there are ones out there they haven't signed!

It would be great. But, doesn't GOG's top five targets IMO.

I'm not entirely sure that they're so pointless. Sure, they're unlikely to influence the course of business for GOG itself, who are probably banging their heads against the wall trying to deal with Zenimax's executive board, but I expect Zenimax executives have web browsers too, and someone there is almost certainly keeping an eye on these forums (among others).

If the case can be made that there is a market for DRM-free downloads of Zenimax titles, then it should be made where Zenimax can see it.

I find that topics like this have actually more influence than pointless wishlist. Sometimes we get blue text response in such threads.

It also raises awareness much more than wishlist entry. If GOG staff knows that game X exists, it's more likely they will make some moves to get it, than simple wishlist.

It's a real chore going through the wishlist, it takes forever. Plus half the games i've never heard of, so voting for them isn't easy.

True. But it (seems to?) work for smaller companies and less known games.

I think all of those "WHERE THE FUCK IS DEPONIA" posts and threads made some impact.
