Not every indie is Braid, Terraria or Super Meat Boy.
![avatar](/upload/avatars/2011/04/d6a7fc98caa336344cd8080aadab6bd4bbfefee7_t.jpg)
Anyway, this is a complete derail of the thread. You can have the last word.
It's not screwing them over, buying games at a discount nets them shitloads of money. If ALL those people bought it at full price? Yeah, it would get the more money, but that's not going to happen ever. Lower prices attract more customers. Some because they weren't that interested in the game to consider it full price, some because they are having money problems, some because they have huge backlogs but can't pass up a good sale. It's profitable and it works and it's being done again and again. No one is getting screwed over, that's not an argument.
Besides, not all indies deserve to get the sales SMB or Braid got, most of the indies are complete cash-grubbing shit that tries to ride on the indie trend and whoa-oah, look at dem retro graphics.
what's with the strawmen, seriously

Sales are good, it gets the tail of the income, but it is also just important to support the devs you like if you want them to survive and make more games. It do not help if you buy their game 2 years after they have gone bankrupt on a sale. There is a little bit of a culture here now for the later.
