I am not ready to condemn Taleroth yet though, as similar thing were done in previous games and it usually didn't work well.

This does look as if someone has taken a look at the Wikipedia page for the Bandersnatch and mistaken it for the other creature in the first drawing, the Jubjub bird.

Taleroth, now that the pressure's been put back on to you you've reverted to being unhelpful. You've started to throw out theories such as a lack of mafia while claiming the only nightkill - a theory that would result in you being the only killer present anyway - and you've shown no remorse over the death of Robbeasy, despite claiming to have turned out to be on his side.

Furthermore, the Bandersnatch (or, for that matter, the Jubjub) doesn't seem town-aligned from what I can see of its description - it seems more likely it would be an antagonist. I'm not sure if anything should be made of it, but it's still worrying me.

I honestly don't know if I'm doing the right thing here.

But someone's got to do it, I suppose.

Only reads I feel comfortable making is Violator X, nmillar, and somewhat Twilightbard. All seem to have a vested interest in controlling the bandwagon towards lynching townies.

I want to finger at Typhoon45, as I did on day one, but I fear my personal feelings about his single-minded accusations of me get in the way. Which is why I didn't vigilante kill him and let Fexen's last words make my choice for me. He seems simply stubborn. He also didn't vote for Fexen, so I'll give him that benefit of doubt.

And you, despite my protests to your flowery posts at the early, have left me unable to even suspect you. I think your calls have been ultimately reasonable.

I am just going to list my suspects in case something happens over-night.
I see nmillar, Orryyrro and QuadrAlien as most suspicous.
Next follows Violator, Twilight, Typhoon and finally jess.
It's more or less built on my current feelings and sorted from the most suspicious to the least one.

Where does Rod fit in on that? Everyone got a mention but him.

I'm wondering the same thing.
I'm also wondering what leads him to suspect he won't be here tomorrow.
I can't see anything he has said that marks him out as a target more than several other people.

If I had to try to read between the lines, he has said that he is not convinced I am mafia, but his vote is on me anyway.

I don't really want to say too much now for fear of influencing the night phase, but I will go into more detail tomorrow.

"The question remains: who killed Robbeasy, then?" said Typhoon45.

"Why, I did," replied Taleroth. "I thought he deserved it."

"And why didn't you say so earlier? We're running out of time, if you haven't noticed!" exclaimed Vitek.

"No one asked," replied Taleroth calmly. "I'm the Bandersnatch, my good friends. I do as I please."

"You don't look like a Bandersnatch to me," doubted nmillar. "Come on, people, does he look even a tiny bit frumious to you?"

"And have you ever seen a Bandersnatch, you fool?" Taleroth barked at him. "No! Has anyone of you ever seen one? Of course you haven't! We Bandersnatches are the most fearsome killers in the world. No one meets a Bandersnatch and lives to tell the tale. We're cunning and fearless and deadly and --" Taleroth collapsed to the floor mid-sentence. Behind him, brandishing a very heavy encyclopedia bound in leather, QuadrAlien was standing with a mocking grin on his face.

"Do you really think a natural killing machine would be defeated so easily?" QuadrAlien asked. "No way. Delusions of grandeur, my friends, that's all. Without his Mafia cronies, this pathetic loser is a nobody. I say we get him."

As if waiting on this cue, the lot of you jumped on the unconscious Taleroth. Punching and kicking and screaming, blinded by rage that provided a pleasant vent for your emotions, you all lent a hand to beating the self-proclaimed killer to a pulp.

After everyone had calmed down and it was clear Taleroth wasn't going to get up ever again, three of you knelt by his side and started systematically searching his body for clues.

"Don't tell me he doesn't have anything at all on him. That's preposterous! Are you trying to hide something, you three?" demanded TwilightBard angrily after several minutes passed without any result.

"Umm, guys?" piped up ViolatorX from the corner. Everyone turned to him, sitting there and staring at something in the encyclopedia that was Taleroth's downfall. "I looked up the Bandersnatch and there's a picture here. And you know what? It looks just like him."

Taleroth has been lynched. He was the Bandersnatch (Town One Shot Vigilante).
