Robbeasy: Giving out your thoughts is the only thing that can help the town - jeez, most theories start with no real basis in fact - its all supposition.

I find it odd so soon after Taleroth that we have another player reluctant. I also take note of what Jesskitten said about your earlier post, but with the proviso English is probably not your first language, so we cant read too much from syntax. What I mostly get from you though is a new player feeling his way into the game - cant really read Town or Mafia off you at the moment.

So in the interests of trying to find out...

fexen: Okay, as you wish. When you said you're a miller, mafia is less likely to kill you at night because killing you would only prove your words. Now this is good for you if you are a role like a doctor or vigilante because it's better when nobody knows that you're one and you can feel safe. So to sum it up, I think you're a doc or vigi.
Now tell me how this can helpful.
Not really an option, because as Town you're not supposed to lie about your Role.

Theres a Mafiagame saying.....'Lynch All Liars'.

I wish I had one of those power roles instead of this shoddy one I have been given.

This can be very helpful.
If the mafia, suspect as you do, it may lead them to target Rob, rather than another townie.
Assuming that Rob IS telling the truth, he is helping to protect those that DO have power roles.

Of course, if you are right, he's simply shot himself & the rest of the town in the foot....

This falls under 'Lynch All Liars', since we have no reason to trust a second role claim and frankly only the Mafia benefits from lies and confusion. And making a false claim runs the risk of the person with that role to step out and condemn you, only to have a big target painted on their back...horrible play for town.
Of course, when it would be a lie, then it would be a reason to lynch him. But let's say that he wouldn't be checked for roles, he could claim that he's a miller and still be considered a town, never revealing his true role (like a vigilante or doc) just to protect himself.

That's what they were saying is bad play, it has short term gain for the individual, but it doesn't have long term gain for the town.

I'm slowly getting more and more nervous about what's being pushed here. Fexen seems very determined to dispute Robbeasy's claim. But, instead of calling him Mafia, he's trying to show how Robbeasy can be a town power role? Trying to draw one out? I'm not really sure how to read this one.
Pardon me for asking, Fexen, but what is it with you and the idea of a vigilante? The wiki's tutorial seems to suggest that the two most likely Town power roles are Cop and Doctor, not Vigilante, and it seems other people here agree with this. Is this a difference between the forum version and the Starcraft 2 version of the game you mentioned having tried or something?

this ^

Lets make this clear - Town do NOT lie about their role, once a decision to claim has been made...nothing but bad things can come of it. If I was a cop or a doctor, why in the hell would I stick my neck out like I have - it would be so much easier to lay low and keep quiet. Like Twilight said - it only muddies the waters for Town further down the line, any short term gains I might get from doing it are minimal

This smacks heavily of trying to smoke out a power role Fexen - plus you do seem fixated on the vigilante....

Pressure sure does start to tell - my vote stays on Fexen, and gets stronger by the post.

I'm saying that those two roles are working better when nobody knows about them, that's why hiding the role under miller would be profitable for the person who has such roles. I told my nonsense idea wouldn't help at all but you asked for it.
Unvote QuadrAlien, vote fexen.

Is there a limit of only one person to a role? I guess maybe I should check the wiki for that.
After what was not the most pleasant afternoon nap you've ever had, you notice that the sun has slowly started approaching the horizon. You all realise there is not much more time for idleness if you want to take action before the night comes.

With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch. It's one and a half days before sunset.

Sunset will occur on Tuesday, 24 May, 9:00am GMT, unless there is a lynch. That's 2:00am Pacific time and 5:00am Eastern time in North America, 10:00am in the UK and 11:00am in Central Europe. Unless I made a mistake, which is not entirely impossible.

UK is GMT and Central Europe is GMT +1 right? So it will be 9 am in UK and 10 am in Central Europe?

UK is GMT only in winter. It's daylight saving now, so UK is in something called the British Standard Time, GMT+1. And Central Europe is now on the summer variant of CET known as CEST, GMT+2.
