As the dark shades the light, and the sky outside the windows blacken, you reach your decision, determined to make an example of Rodzaju when he suddenly exclaims his predicament. Many continues to force the matter, nearly beginning to kick the poor object. How some of you start kicking, no one knows, especially since you most surely do not have legs.

But on comes the salvation of the condemned. One to be more condemned than his predacessor, the one fabled to be the first to be lynched by the angered and frightened appliances of this house. Enter Popinjay. He takes the stage by storm, and the back-up actors will have none of it. Good thing there are no actors, only appliances, so you start picking him and everything he says apart.

"We must kill Rodzaju! He's evil and mean and looked at me the wrong way!" Popinjay defends

"Who are you? How do you know these things?! Explain yourself!" nmillar demands

"I need not explain myself! Rodzaju is the one under scrutiny here!" Popinjay retorts.

"No, you are!" TwilightBard claims

"Yeah, you are! Tell us who you are!" Rodzaju interjects

"Never! I am your salvation! Not your cure!" Popinjay exclaims

Onwards steps elbaz and knocks a dent into Popinjay. In joins Red_Baron with another hit, and soon everyone else. Soon, the once sleek and stylish figure of Popinjay is but a dented, ruined husk, providing minor electrical sparks showing fading signs of life.

In order to be sure, Vitek jumps over to the wall where Popinjay was plugged in and removes the plug - just in case he isn't dead from the savage beating.

andy433uk steps in close, examining the wrecked appliance.

"Hmm..." he utters

"What is it? We knocked that scum out cold, right?" nmillar asks

"Oh, he's cold alright, but scum? I doubt it." andy433uk says

You all stare at each other, completely sure someone amoung you found the death of the Freezer a blessing rather than a curse. As you each eye one another, you realise that Vitek is missing and your alarms go off immediately.

You all start searching for Vitek has a group as none of you trust each other to go alone. As difficult as it is finding him, you find out he was right near your meeting spot. A bit ashamed of your fast fall to alarm, you go to wake him up.

As all of you prod him, you notice he isn't responding. Strange. Plus, he seems to be about one fourth of his former size, plus someone seems to have flattened his electrical cord, though not enough to ruin it.

Vitek has been killed.

He was the Dishwasher (Town Bodyguard).

Sure his killer is amoung you, you again begin to eye one another. After eyeing everyone else, you all notice Red_Baron is missing. And you're beginning your frantic searching once more.

You find him atop the kitchen counter, turned off. You move about, trying to find out why he isn't switched on, when you see his electric cord has been melted apart, into two parts.

Red_Baron has been killed.

He was the Microwave Oven (Mafia Redirector).

It is now Day 2.

With 9 alive, it takes 5 to lynch.

I've been dying to say this ever since I came back to to this thread to find the day over: What the hell Popinjay!?

I suppose Red_Baron's death was a result of a vigilante? Whoever that was, good targeting!

That was certainly a much-needed bit of good news after yesterday's mis-lynch, but I don't understand why the mafia targeted Vitek? He cast a random vote or two early on, but then joined the rest of the voters on Popinjay.

I doubt the whole of the mafia jumped on the Popinjay bandwagon, so I'm most suspicious of those who voted for Rodzaju at the moment, particularly GhostQlyph for being so pushy with that vote.

Is there some rule of the game I don't know about that says the first lynchee must self destruct in spectacular fashion?

Game 1: OK, it didn't happen. The exception that proves the rule.
Game 2: Baz declares that he's bored of waiting. They should either lynch him or go. Guess what...

A couple of times yesterday, it was suggested that I was pointing the finger at people because they voted for me.
During day 1, EVERYONE voted for me at least once. This makes it impossible for me to avoid such speculation so I won't even try. As I said in my last post before night fell, I call it how I see it, whether it furthers my agenda or not.


I do believe that there is something fishy with Elbaz (Surprise, surprise!) and Andy.
It has been commented before that their votes seem to go very much together. Exluding RVS:
Post 154 Elbaz FOS me.
Post 155 Andy votes me.
Post 156 Elbaz votes me.
3 consecutive posts, 1 FOS & 2 votes.

Post 333 Andy unvotes me (at my request).
For the next hour and a bit, Me & Pop sit at L-2.
Then at post 348, I suggest looking for alternative suspects.
Then another triple post:
Post 352 Andy votes Pop
Post 353 I tell Andy we don't need to lynch Pop, due to double post.
Post 354 Elbaz unvotes me to hammer Pop.

Once may have been a coincidence, but TWICE?

I see Elbaz as potentially scummy.
Given my role, that isn't saying much.
However, he's also been very reluctant to post (raises suspicion, but again hardly conclusive).
Then Pop starts to crumble under pressure.
I twice suggest there is no need to rush to kill him (348 & 353, above).
Up pops(!) Elbaz to drop the hammer on the Town Jailer.

Taken in isolation, Elbaz is suspicious, but not massively so.
What really jumps out at me is the joint voting with Andy.
This raises it from mildly suspicous to highly suspicous.
Even if I'm reading this wrong, the appearance of what is essentially a double voter is just as much a danger to the town as it is to the mafia, as we have just seen.

Having said that:
Day 1 was pretty much dominated with me vs Pop.
I don't want day 2 to be all about me vs Elbaz.
There have to be other suspicous characters out there.

We had a sure fire decent lynch yesterday with Rodzaju, who claimed NOT town. Somehow it got turned round to - 'lets investigate others first, we can always come back and lynch Rodzaju later' - by quite a few people. Thats ok to a point, its good to talk, but it should always have been Rodzaju up first. I disappear for a few hours , only to come back and find we lynched the Town bloody Jailer instead!! Take a good long look at the way that happened, people - somehow the bandwagon was pushed too far.

Granted it was definitely a wtf? with Popinjays posts and play style, but it does seem strange that after shouting down the Rodzaju lynch with cries of 'its too early' and 'we should talk more' , the lynch of Popinjay took place so quickly.

Now we still have the Rodzaju / Elbaz conundrum, and we're two Town Power roles down!

Was Vitek the intended target?

The Bodyguard is a name for many roles:

A role that functions like a normal Doctor.
A role that functions like a normal Doctor, but dies if the protected player is attacked.
A role that has a 50% chance of successfully protecting the target and finds out his target's attacker, and a 50% chance that the Bodyguard dies instead.
A role that kills the attacker of the protected player (also known as Elite Bodyguard).

I would guess SK for Red Baron, I can't imagine anyone who had him pegged down.

YES, Popinjay's lynch went by way too quickly, especially when we were trying to get a serious claim out of him. Andy, Elbaz, I would like to see a VERY good explaination of why you jumped onto his lynch that fast, especially knowing we were pushing a serious claim for him and even if he wasn't taking us seriously, he should have had a chance to make a real claim.

I'd like to point out that Vitek was a bodyguard...so the chances are he simply protected the real target of the NK...in fact that's what I'm willing to bet it on.

I would say Ghost is definitely suspicious, Elbaz and Andy are on my sights right now...wondering what Violator is going to bring to the table for this.

Well, I think GhostQlyph probably felt the same as me; that lynching Rodzaju was obvious. I only took my vote off in the interest of continuing the discussion. Having said that, if I'd been around while Popinjay was freaking out I probably would have voted him too so I don't think much can be gleaned from who voted for him (although we know at least one mafia member voted for him).

Well, in the first game both of my mafia buddies self destructed in a pretty spectacular way. GameRager just started making up roles, while Titanium claimed a power role with 'nerd rage'.
