Well.. hmm I posted my last post, and then saw several replies had arrived while I was typing, among them elbaz posts - showing that Rodzaju is indeed telling the truth about the lynch. This results in me placing Rodzaju as a third party / neutral - while elbaz has claimed town and pushes towards lynching Rozaju... making me believe we have a similar scenario as Robbeasy mentioned, with two lynchers. And I am back to my last pondering, which didn't really lead me anywhere.

So perhaps going with nmillar on that one and taking on (and hopefully out, thereby clearing out some of the discussions and confussion) the other of my primary suspects: Popinjay could give some results while the discussion between elbaz and Rodzaju can help me and others getting a better understanding of what to do.

nmillar: This seems to suggest that lynchees tend to be town-aligned, so unvote elbaz. I'm not going to place my vote back on Rodzaju though; he has admitted to being unaligned, so I'd rather go after someone who could flip mafia.

Several people have voiced their suspicions of Popinjay, and I'm willing to buy into their theories for now.
Well, since I am stuck on the elbaz and Rodzaju thing, and I dislike having a vote thats not really that useful, I am going to return to my original one and follow nmillar on this one:

Unvote - Vote Popinjay

This might change if something important turns up in the whole lyncher thingy thats going on, but for now I guess I'll leave the trash talk to the two professionals :P (Btw: elbaz's flavour about taking over the trash bins position and job could sound fair scummy if read with a suspicious eye :D)

Rodzaju: Nmillar:
Seeing how Damn has fiddled with the traditional lyncher role, is it not also possible that he has fiddled with the lynchee role?
He hasn't fiddled with the lyncher role at all ... the link clearly states that it is a 'third party' role. This is why I'm inclined to believe the lynchee role is also a traditional one and that elbaz is town, but this is something that can be revisited at a later stage. For now, I'd rather go after the mafia.
Hmmmm, don't have to change my vote, just waiting on a reply from 163, cause like I said, his reasoning behind attacking Rodzaju seems, very OMGUS, instead of a reasonable argument.

elbaz: Well, obviously much has happened since I last checked the game! Considering my flavor text, Rodzaju's task is understandable. For you see, I am the Trash Compactor that was recently installed in the kitchen, replacing a trash can that was demoted to the laundry room. This is why I have been suspicious of Rodzaju from the beginning; it seemed unlikely that two very similar "appliances" would both have town roles. Initially, I did not consider that the trash can could have such an odd role, I assumed it would be mafia (and I still believe this is likely). I held off on posting this information in the hope that pressure and discussion would give more hints as to who is mafia.

Now, Rodzaju could still be lying. While I don't really like referring to previous games, we have seen an instance of mafia claiming a third party role to avoid being lynched (jesskitten).

For the record, if the can is not mafia, I have no conditions that require the trash can to be eliminated.

This is the way I see it:

Rodzaju is an unknown element. MAYBE he will just become a townie after lynching, maybe not. He also may be lying and is simply mafia. What is key is that right here, right now, he is a threat to the town. I am already town, fully committed to the task of finding and eliminating scum. I am quite clearly the better choice to keep alive.

Since there is no doubt that, at least to me and quite possibly everyone else, Rodzaju is a threat, my vote stays where it is. Bring out the comfy chair...
hmm - the fact that Rodzaju has come out with the relationship between the two of you, and that you confirm it so readily, tickles my scumdar somewhat, but for now the fact Rodzaju is after you does not necessarily mean you're scum...in fact it leans you towards town somewhat.

And although nmillar makes a point about the merits of leaving Rodzaju alone and going after someone else, as you have confirmed a Lyncher role, I'm not so sure. I think we stand to gain a lot from the lynch - it will confirm what we think about Elbaz for one, and should you flip other than Third Party Lyncher, we have some prime suspects to persue tomorrow.

My vote for Rodzaju stands.

Rodzaju: My problem is that I am CURRENTLY not town.
However, if I live long enough to see the correct person lynched, I can become town.

For obvious reasons, I won't name that person.

Robbeasy: ****frantically searches MafiaWiki to find a role which fits that scenario*****

**Cant find one**
Ok - a few thoughts

Rodzaju - strikes me as Town, even though a softclaim has come out from him. I think it comes across as a genuine honest mistake, and has been consistent in defence. However, his claim is odd, to say the least.

Popinjay - can't make my mind up here. Claims the early bandwagonning is down to inexperience at the game, and also is ignorant that there are power roles? Defence not been so strong and seems a bit all over the place. Up the list.

nmillar. Old hand. The probability thing. One thing stands out a mile here - you seem to know there are three Mafia?? Thats what you have based all your workings on. Now I kinow every game so far has had that split, but to be so sure without even qualifying it in some way intimates to me you have prior knowledge. A slip?? I think it might be....

andy33uk - hardly posted. Theres always one mafia that lies low early on, but cant read too much into it early on, as you are a newbie and may be just getting to grips. Still, quick to vote on Rod, quickly followed by...

elbaz - also very quiet. What I said for andy goes for you too, but not liking the bandwagonning on Rod much at all. Not very town like at all for me.

Ghost - Hiya! You have been VERY quiet - i'm thinking its RL getting in the way, cos you're so different from your last game thats its far too obvious a tell. You're far too intelligent a player to have such a big difference between games. Still, keep an eye on you, for that reason, just in case.

Vitek - pushing on Rod a bit hard there....still, you havent done anything really to create a blip on the scumdar....

Gonna stop now, wiith Rods bizarre claim coming while i was typing this up....come back to the rest later..
Sorry, I was reading through all I missed and found this. No worries, it is RL and I am trying to stay in the game. I'll continue reading, I'll have something to say when I finish.
so, the way i see it....

1. Lynch Elbaz - who is most likely town, but as long as rodzaju has told the entire truth we'd add him as "town", then most likely lose another townie at night, so 1 down

2. Lynch Rodzaju - not town, lose townie at night,

3. Lynch someone else who flips town, possibly lose elbaz at night, rodzaju "can't" become town so we end up down 2 town and a neutral without finding any scum

4. Lynch a scum, elbaz survives the night, cofirm alignment etc etc perfect world win

Lynching Rodzaju seems the most sensible course of action with the current information
Good to see you're still around Ghost....

Been waiting to see what take you've got on it all..
And here we go. You will not be disappointed, Robb.

Andy has good reasoning. A Rodzaju lynch is a guaranteed one-town-loss. That's it. We get one less player to worry about the alignment of later on, one less possible source of misinformation, and it's roughly the same "cost" to town as no-lynch. We lose nothing we wouldn't lose regardless, and we gain a whole lot of clarity. And if he flips scum lying to save his hide, we get a perfect-world lynch.

As Andy stated, an Elbaz-lynch could help us in the same way -- but if Rodzaju is a liar, then we lose TWO town and we have no way of knowing that is the case till he's lynched. This is way too risky.

Lynching any third party is reckless, we don't have enough information outside of Elbaz and Rodzaju. And a Rodzaju lynch cannot go wrong, whereas an Elbaz lynch is complex and shows no obvious reward until we LOSE that reward anyway.

Vote Rodzaju. I encourage others to do the same.
OK, so I'm back to L-1, with nothing more I can give you.
Having just caught up again, I'm of the opinion that we have nothing to gain by keeping Rodzaju alive. It's been pretty much confirmed that he's telling the truth about being a lyncher considering he knew Elbaz's role. I still don't see any advantage in keeping Rodzaju alive.

Unvote GhostQlyph, vote Rodzaju.

Rodzaju: **
What if elbaz gets nightkilled? Waht happens to you then?

Also, I don't believe elbaz ha the same lynching conditions towards Rodzaju. It doesn't make sense flavourwise to me.

Preview Edit: Seems it's too late now. Quite interesting, happened really fast. I don't think it was necessary to lynch him so quickly.
I only count 6 votes, any how Vote Count please
Before the lynch comes in: I thought of one more big bonus for a Rodzaju lynch if he flips scum: we know he's working with Elbaz.
You are right Red_Baron unvoted him.
Whoops on two accounts. Forgot to bold my unvote, vote and also didn't realise Rodzaju had quite that many votes. Still, I stand by my vote.
