First off, many thanks to all who supported me after my posting error, and to Damnation for being lenient.

Now then, lets get it on....funnily enough, I've been a lyncher before, and my target was also a lyncher.

Information - a double edged sword. As town, we need all the info we can get. Yet the Mafia also need the info - trying to find the power roles, and acting accordingly.

We have one claim - who has claimed he is NOT TOWN. I ask the obvious question. Why are we not lynching him?? We find out exactly what he is at the lynch - THEN we can turn our attention towards Elbaz, depending on the info given. ONLY that info gleaned from the Lynch can be true info - all else could be smoke and mirrors. Rod could be Mafia, setting up Elbaz. Hell, they could be in it together, Elbaz could also claim Lyncher and come up with someone else to chase after. Meanwhile, the Mafia sit back gathering info and laughing their heads off....

No, we have one confirmed non town member - get the full info after his lynch, then we have a much better idea of where we stand.

Vote Rodzaju

We're looking into the idea of him actually being town afterwards, and investigating his target. This alone can't hurt us, and right now it helps us draw out someone who has been rather quiet throughout the whole game. I don't see a downside to this, and it's not like we can't turn around and lynch him if we get a result that we don't like. There's too many people making too few posts for my taste right now, and drawing one of them into the light is not going to kill us.

Well, obviously much has happened since I last checked the game! Considering my flavor text, Rodzaju's task is understandable. For you see, I am the Trash Compactor that was recently installed in the kitchen, replacing a trash can that was demoted to the laundry room. This is why I have been suspicious of Rodzaju from the beginning; it seemed unlikely that two very similar "appliances" would both have town roles. Initially, I did not consider that the trash can could have such an odd role, I assumed it would be mafia (and I still believe this is likely). I held off on posting this information in the hope that pressure and discussion would give more hints as to who is mafia.

Now, Rodzaju could still be lying. While I don't really like referring to previous games, we have seen an instance of mafia claiming a third party role to avoid being lynched (jesskitten).

For the record, if the can is not mafia, I have no conditions that require the trash can to be eliminated.

This is the way I see it:

Rodzaju is an unknown element. MAYBE he will just become a townie after lynching, maybe not. He also may be lying and is simply mafia. What is key is that right here, right now, he is a threat to the town. I am already town, fully committed to the task of finding and eliminating scum. I am quite clearly the better choice to keep alive.

Since there is no doubt that, at least to me and quite possibly everyone else, Rodzaju is a threat, my vote stays where it is. Bring out the comfy chair...

Getting rid of a perfectly serviceable, hard working bin to make room for some new fangled gadget sounds very scummy to me!
I don't know what flavour you are, but the scenario presented in my pm makes you sound bad.
Just saying "I am town" don't make it so.
I could easily have claimed town & saved myself a whole heap of trouble.

Good to see you survived Robbeasy, would have been a darn shame to lose you already again :)

And it gave you a chance to make me reconsider my actions, although it also left me quite undecided.

I was partly feeling convinced at the others (nmillar, twilightBard and Rodzaju) arguments, but you make some good points about the claim (Although the fact that he is not town, could also mean he is a neutral I guess?).

Well.. hmm

Well if the case is that we're dealing with two lynchers, who have each another as targets, that would explain elbaz eagerness to vote for Rodzaju and explain Rodzaju's vote on elbaz when asked to reveal his target.. But if thats the case, then I would assume elbaz is not a town either.. so if the same conditions apply to both of them, then it would be a choice between the very vocal player (Rodzaju) and the way more silence elbaz.

Since both is on my list of suspects I can't really decide from that, although I do like that Rodzaju is writing a lot of reasons and suggestions. But that won't be a deciding factor for me. It would come down to some gut feeling or something - if the case of two lynchers are true.

Then if Rodzaju is the only lyncher, I would say the easiest and safest way for us to avoid killing our own due to scum tricks would be to lynch the known lyncher. So yea, doing this post I kinda convinced myself not to change my vote. Lets see where this leads.. perhaps elbaz will have some sort of input or I might notice some more connections between him and andy (Yea, I am still considering the very speedy voting on Rodzaju - making me consider if lynching Rodzaju is that good an idea if two others appears to benefit from it - but thats pure speculation).

A short list, not really with much reasons about each person, but I promised the list:

Robbeasy - Hard to say yet, placing him as town currently, but suspected pazzer before that.. so yea.

Vitek: Strong feeling of town

TwiligtBard: Something feels a bit off - not entirely sue what (Third party).

Popinjay: Some really odd actions and reactions - Consider him fairly suspect

enterprise2004: Don't really have much of a read on him - due to the little amount of posts, but leaning town

nmillar: I find his playstyle to be of the fairly curios type, making me wonder what he is after. Not much to go on though - neutral, though positively flavored towards town.

Andy: Your on my list as suspects, not saying much and also appear have the odd connection to elbaz. Neutral, with a hint of scum

elbaz : Not sure what to think about him, not that many posts to comments on the argument

Well, Rodzaju has clearly told the truth since he has identified elbaz's correct role; the only question that remains now is whether elbaz is town or mafia ...

Of course he's going to sound bad to you, he took your spot according to the flavor text.

After reading Robbeasy post, I'm going to unvote elbaz vote Rodzaju We know Rodzaju is non-Town, whichever way he flips come lynch time, we might be able to figure out a bit more about elbaz.

This seems to suggest that lynchees tend to be town-aligned, so unvote elbaz. I'm not going to place my vote back on Rodzaju though; he has admitted to being unaligned, so I'd rather go after someone who could flip mafia.

Several people have voiced their suspicions of Popinjay, and I'm willing to buy into their theories for now.
